are we getting the incredible april 1st? is it all black? PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!
Would you please go to page one and start reading from day one!
You're real annoying now.

PAY ATTENTION or go away. Just become a lurker like the rest of us whom have been here for a little while, and has gone back to doing this. Most of us are tired of reading stuff from noobs who aren't paying attention (there are some good noob posts) to what's going on.
Well if Verizon will be broadcasting NFL football games live over its network over the next four years the network pipeline not only has to be able to handle the large data streams that will be required of it, but the handsets need to be up to snuff as well to give the subscriber the best possible viewing experience.
Perhaps the Incredible will be the first of several handsets to be released between now and the end of August (before the start of the 2010 regular season) that will be promoted as "mulitmedia devices" that will enrich this experience?
I may stick with Verizon just for this move, as I'm a football junkie. ;-) With this announcement and CTIA just on the horizon, I've got to believe some big things will be announced and unveiled there by BIG RED.

you dont need to be mean, I have read from page 1. I just am excited, I have read everything from all over the web about this phone and others.

If Sprint can do it, Big Red is capable. By the end of the contract it will be going over 4G anyhow.
NKT, I don't believe anyone has asked this yet. You said that the back is no longer red. Well, if you know that then you must have seen the phone. So, my question is, if the back isn't red, what is it? Describe it to us. I'm sure we'd all love to know what it looks like. If not red, what? Thanks in advance!
I haven't physically seen the device. This is information I have been able to acquire from those that have the phone. It's black. That's as much as I know at this point. I'm hoping it's soft touch like the Eris.
That's another item on the list when I get hands on.

Cool. Well, at least we now know it's black. Thanks again brother!
Being on the Verizon network is number 1 for me. I was debating going to At&T until I heard about the Nexus One and then I found out about the Incredible. I like the optical mouse over the trackball, bigger screen is also a big plus.
Everyone needs to stop wildin' out. We are all interested and excited about the Incredible. I believe for the most part (like 98%) of the people posting are trying to help. That doesn't take into account the tons (I'm sure) of others who are "lurking" and surfing the web, calling reps, asking around, etc. to try and find more information because they want to H E L P.
If someone posts a corny joke or a silly comment or whatever then just skip over it and move on. But don't post FAKE information or specs. That doesn't help and never will. But remember, it's a forum. This thread is important to me/us (I wouldn't have spent this much time on it so far if it wasn't), but as far as it concerns me, I don't get worked up over this. Maybe others feel the same way. I don't know. But I have more important things (believe it or not ) in my life to get worked up about than to wild out over a cell phone forum. This is supposed to be fun for everyone to come to and share ideas and talk about it. Not a stressor. Life will go on after the HTC Incredible. Then we'll just talk about that.
The Incredible is coming, it's going to be a fun, exciting device, I am sure we will, for the most part, be pleased.
Now let's get it on.

Don't want to nail down a time, except to say it's this week.
So the device that you will be receiving, will that be the production device? From what I have been told by managers and supervisors within Verizon, they are going to release more then one Android device with the Moto Devour.

I hear ya, what good is owning a porsche if you only have rutted out dirt roads to drive it on, ya know?

HD2 doesn't really count because its winmo and it may not be upgradable to winmo 7 which means that phone could be end of life as soon as Tmobile launches it.
I also don't see Tmobile US getting the Desire as of yet. I think its one of those things where Tmobile UK is getting the Desire and everyone assumes Tmobile US is getting it. Except the two companies don't always carry the same phones.
The Nexus One was pure cattle call for subscribers from Tmobile. Thats why Google sells it. It doesn't seem to have worked for them. I don't see the HD2 bringing people in by droves either. They're going to have to figure out that it doesn't matter what phones you have if no one can use them.
The Incredible will be akin to the N1 with Sense.
I would take the HD2 on verizon with no upgrade to winmo7 at a really discounted price and would put android on it.

Agreed that Hero teflon coating is nice.
Also please look for:
noise canceling mic (2nd mic on back)
USB input/charging location.
Docking capabilities, hopefully landscape like the droid
Yes its wishful thinking they would announce the lesser of the two phones but not the greater which would be the exact opposite of the Droid/Eris launch.
It could be that HTC are the ones who want to remain tight lipped about there product releases whereas Motorola doesn't mind letting the cat out of the bag a little earlier.

The device I'm going to be seeing is as close to production as it gets. The only changes are usually software between it and the launch device.
And the Devour is out already. I think they're going to launch the N1 and Incredible together or really close together though the N1's been in testing for a little bit longer.

Rosend, Your right, and I'm SORRY. I'm sorry to Everyone. I'm sorry I took my frustration and Excitement (same as yours!) out on you.
Non excusable reason!.. I just took a deep breath after your response and said to myself uh-oh. I have reading everyday at work all the pages that were written from just 15 hrs before (I'm problably gonna be caught and in trouble with the work spyware) and with my broken neck and eyes bleeding from all the reading, I READ AND TOOK YOUR POST THE WRONG WAY.
I am Truly Sorry

Kap, man, I don't believe you'd say this. HOW COULD YOU?? The phone is the Incredible, for Pete's sake. It flies through the air, has super human strength, is super elastic, is super fast and has a force field around it. (Steven shakes his head).

lol, I like forums and reading up on new things and gaining information. But when everyone wilds out then you just fill up more pages of people pissed off. It isn't a big deal, I just fast forward through it, but people waste all that energy and time on posting nasty things, when they could have used that to put something up about the topic at hand.
Now I am not saying to post non-sense or random *hit. Keep the thread to the topic at hand (as best as you can anyway lol), but people get hardcore pissed. Then the disrespectful words come out and mean things are said and then before you know it, it turns into one big giant pissed off cluster **ck

Perfect examply of a dumb@ss post (my post that is) and I bet most people skipped right over that non-sense haha.
Yeah you are right though, I expect this phone to do some crazy *hit haha.

The Devour has been announced but not officially released for sale. Correct me if I'm wrong but its not on the verizonwireless.com site and I thought the official release date is the 15th.
I feel the same about that...its useless to get into an internet argument lol. I can't wait for NKT to give us some relevant info in the next few days...I'm still planning on hearing an 'Incredible' announcement at CTIA...lets all hope
I want the phoen just as much as you. Once we do get it we will be inthis forum helping each other out wioth questions and concerns. I appreciate your appology and you are no longer an A**HOLE

Seems like CTIA is ramping up to be ballin'. The whole NFL thing, Incredible, N1, hell, they might even mention something about their mifi and using the iPad on it. I've been reading articles on that. So yeah, looks like a busy 3 days for VZW. If it isn't we are all gonna look like lol

Thanks, I guess I should finally do something here at work now.

Sounds like the phone is being tested by Verizon employees right now to see how the phone works on the network. The basic stuff. Then, it is passed on to true testers like yourself.
