NKT thank you very much for everything you've added to this forum. It's good to see that all of us that had some doubts that this phone would come out and not live up to its name are all on board now. You've done well sir, keep up the good work.
I can at the end of the month. My second tickets falls off. I had to install a laser jamming device on it. Great filling looking at officers faces when I drive by now. No ticket since I put the device on.

She's got the Snap running at 768 and is BLAZING fast.
Whoa whoa whoa, hold, stop.... 768?? really??? chist...i don't even know what to think now.
So how many people feel this is now "confirmed" enough to update the first post? Let me know and i'll take care of it, just let me know what to update.
Alright, now we're getting somewhere. Thanks for the post, NKT and my sincere apologies if my previous comments offended you. We now know you're not a poser and I didn't mean to imply you were earlier. I've just become really skeptical of anyone claiming to know this and that about the device, but proof is in the pudding and you more than adequately qualified yourself. You do realize this will likely blow-up on the intrawebs, but I'm glad you posted it here first!

Awesome pictures, Many people will rest easier now that we have a non-flaming back. You the man NKT.
My guess would be this isn't a final final production model because of the red accents....similar to how the desire had some red accents but they were removed in models shown at MWC.
I would guess it's a compromise to preserve battery life. You can always overclock if you want to save a few microseconds of launch, boot and run time, but I'm guessing that with the testing that's been done 768 is more than sufficient.
Blinder is the company. I also put Veil stealth coating on front license plate and headlights. The blinder cost around 480 but I had 2 tickets on court supervision and 1 more and could have lost my license. Plus my insurance would have gone more than 500 for me. This was a fair price for me. Also, this device is not legal in my state but speeding isn't either. lol
Look on youtube videos for the Blinder in action.

So someone educate me, how does this underclocking thing work... If the processor is rated for 1 Ghz does that mean that the remaining "potential" could be recaptured via rooting/custom ROM? In a sense i'm asking if you got the processor back to 1 Ghz would that even be considered "overclocking" or just getting it back to "stock"?
Why are people thinking this post and saying baller status? Is there a pic of the actual phone im not seeing? I know there is a ton of information belowe that im really excited to read, just wondering why this got people excited pre information....i.e. picture

On the link I posted it said "maxium operating efficency" or something like that was 1ghz
so I figure they underclock it for power consumption and to get more life out of it. I mean you car might have a max speed of 120mph, but you don't drive it at that speed all the time (or ever) lol. Know what I mean?

Not sure if you're having the same issue as me but i can't see it at work for some reason. I logged on through my Droid and whoila, the pics are there.

I get all that...i should have perhaps been clearer...let me try again.
Is there a 1 Ghz processor inside and it's been dumbed down to 768? (meaning any "unlock" would restore full speed)
OR
Is there a 768 Mhz processor inside and running at 1 Ghz would require some sort of overclock (voltage, timing, etc...)

Not a bad example, Kappy, but better to look at it as putting a regulator or governor on a car engine that's capable of running at 120 mph, but actually gets better wear and life if it doesn't exceed 100mph.

You are not gonna notice much of a difference between 768 and 1ghz anyway. I would rather have the better battery life.
While i agree with you generally i'm on a Droid now and run it at several different clock speeds (600, 800, 1000, 1200, even 1300) and see a definite difference in general use (screen switch, app open, browsing, in particular scrolling, etc...overall snappiness). It's possible that being a different OS version (2.1 vs. 2.0.1), different processor (Snap vs. OMAP), more memory (320 vs. 256), etc... will make a huge difference, but from my experience with my Droid the overclock makes a big difference and is noticeable at each stage.

Not trying to minimize the importance (hell i got my phone right out to check), but just picture what you've already seen with that funky contoured back except in flat black.
