I work in a casino, and if my storm is left on while switching signal like that, it dies in 2.5 hours, and thats in my pocket, might have to turn the radio off at work! i have to..

Mine picked up 3g immediately, as well as work WiFi and tested google sky out, so far so good! FAST! I hope my learning curve is close to being as fast as this phone since I'm coming from WinMo 6.5. Not fooling withi it anymore till it is charged. I have to get some work done today, anyway.

hmm, I'm a little worried about the signal issues. I remember the Eris having problems with signal strength and locking onto 3G whereas my dumbphone showed full EVDO everywhere.

For anyone leaving "I got mine too!" posts, can you please include if it was a Online or Phone order and when you ordered. We all seem to appreciate hearing that some are shipping early but it would be nice to know if there are phones outside of the "Verizon Phone Error" that are being sent out too!

Thanks and congrats to everyone that's enjoying their shiny new toys! ... Damn you evil lucky people, Damn you!

I've called *611 three days in a row and all the csr's have told me they could not place the order for me over the phone. Did the people that did order over the phone use the *611 number? Did you talk to just any csr? Can someone post the verizon wireless SKU number from the sticker on the box? All the csr's tell me they cannot locate a sku...

I wonder if there is some pattern to the order numbers. I am hoping since I ordered mine at about 10:58pm on 4/18/10 that mine might ship early. Nothing yet though.

I actually called to pre-order at 8:07am Monday and they said the only difference between online and over the phone orders was that online orders had the $100 INSTANT rebate whereas phone orders (and instore orders) have the $100 MAIL-IN rebate. I would've gladly gone through the effort of mailing my rebate in if I had known that it could mean I would've gotten my phone early like some of the lucky ones.
Whoa whoa whoa,

Their is still a mail in rebate if you pre-ordered over the phone? Can anyone confirm this?

depends on what number you call. I called the 800 number yesturday and was told couldn't order over the phone. (in the past the 800 number did the rebate instantly and NO mail in) When I called #611 the CSR said if I ordered from him there would be a mail in rebate (that was before he found out what phone I was looking at)

I pre-ordered monday morning using my check card (daily card limit $600, phone cost $572), I have not used my card since, I called Verizon Internet Sales when I got home from work today. I spoke with a very nice CSR who checked my order and she said that my card will be charged on the 27th and the phone willshipp that day. She said all of the phones will ship then.

Well guys this phone is simply amazing. I'm typing this message on the phone. Today at work one of my iPhone buddies came over to my desk with his nose in the air. He was trying so hard to act like he wasn't interested. He says to me, "It just looks like an iPhone." I responded, "Yeah that's probably the only bad thing about it." LOL

The iPhone is old, boring, outdated, and played out. Android and the Incredible are leading the way forward.

on phone with vzw now. They are trying to tell me that I can't order until 29th...waiting to speak to manager... they gave a new number 800 201 0521, some type of web support. They are telling me I can web order now or wait until tomorrow and use a promo i am eligible for on some of my lines on my family plan, allowing me to upgrade from a feature phone early to a smart phone. Problem being at moment, if i upgrade tonight it blows my wifes ni2 versus using one of my kids lines to upgrade...
So, I should be able to use code tomorrow on line, but the greater question is why won't they let me pre order on the phone?

All the web support is going to do is walk you through online ordering. If your wifes NE2 is grandfathered in $100 every two years I would not mess with or it will change to the new $30-50 next time you upgrade depending on your plan price. The reason they don't take phone orders is becuase they were not supposed to in the first place. I think somehow some ppl were able to slip through as things must have not been properly blocked.

I placed a phone order on Monday. The rep took my credit card info and said the device would be shipped the 29th, and would arrive on the 30th.

As I was backing out my driveway this morning the Fedex truck was approaching my house. My heart skipped a beat

You are one of the lucky ones. I've called everyday since the 19th and have had no luck. Every csr put me on hold and verified it with a "higher up" and have came back and said sorry call back on the 29th. Can you post the verzion sku number from the sticker on the box? It should be a model number or something similar. The SKU on my old Htc vogue box was XV6900.

They probably have a record of how many times that you've called and I highly doubt that you are going to be able to order over the phone anyways.

TO EVERYONE WITH THE PHONE

What's the battery life like with normal usage? I'm sure you're all draining it in about 5 hours though Updates would be great when any of you get a chance...

Does anyone that received their phone remember what the package weight was? FedEX just left a ticket on my door, and since the only thing I have ordered is this phone, I'm kind of curious.
Verizon tracking hasn't changed.

TIA
