When you unplug from using it as a hard , it should "reseat" your sd card and everything should reappear, although it may take a minute or two. If it doesn't, I'd look beyond me for an answer.
Widgetlocker can change the number of rows and columns. Play with those numbers until you achieve this lining up you speak of.
I always thought this phone should be themed red, black, with white text due to the coloring on the earphone, the camera lens, and the boot animation. I decided to give it a try, it's still going to need some work, but here's what I have so far.
Lockscreen
Widgetlocker
Screens
Launcherpro+
Simiclock
Beautiful Widgets
Google Music Beta Widget
Smooth Calendar
Where do you get your icons from, man? The MIUI Theme Manager drives me nuts.... so hard to find quality stuff scrolling through all those themes.
I've been bouncing between CM7, MIUI, and Sense 3.5. Currently on Sense 3.5 but looking for something a little more reliable. MIUI always amazes me for a few days, then I end up going back to my CM7 Nandroid (mostly because MIUI's automatic screen brightness is terrible). Supra has almost convinced me to go back to MIUI.... downloading now. :P

Haha I hear u man, sadly, most of those icons do indeed come from the theme manager, A lot still from xda though, kinda 60/40.
I use the manual brightness but I know what ur talkin bout for auto haha. I really can't get away from MIUI. I'll flash a sense rom, and then I come into the default messaging app or something and go (Ohhh, that's why I was on MIUI) lol. Everything is so easy to modify, no apk shit. Just about every little bit of the rom is able to be changed, and on the fly. I just forget about every other roms features cause of it lol.
Can I ask, is there a website or someplace on this forum how to do the things you all are doing? I would like to learn how. I have seen some very remarkable layouts and really want to change my Droid as well. Something like droid layouts for dummies or something like that? :-)

Appreciate your help!

It depends on what exactly you want to do. Most of the layouts require photoshop or some photo editors to edit icons or backgrounds. Some of us are rooted and have different lockscreens and themes. Others use a different launcher other than the sense launcher. It all depends on what you want.

Many people I show my phone to freak and say, "I want to do that!! But how?" The answer I give, the one none of them want to hear, is, "I read." You have to read. You have to hit message boards and threads jammed with words and instructions. And my friends all bag the idea right there. You need to be willing to find and then follow detailed instructions. I would start with finding icons you like and learning how to incorporate them into your phone. If that requires an alternate launcher (ADW, LauncherPro, GoLauncher EX, etc.), you need to be patient enough and willing to download and try each and every one, reading all about what each is capable of doing. Along the way, you will learn more and more until you are fairly comfortable changing around your phone.
I read about, downloaded, installed, and played with endless amounts of widgets until I found the core bunch that I use on every layout. Once you have a grasp of this sort of thing, you may want to consider creating your own wallpaper or changing someone else's wallpaper to suit your needs. That means a whole new round of reading/downloading/installing and watching video tutorials. If I was able to actually calculate the amount of hours I've spent on learning to do what I do to my phone, from my first layout posted here [ Let's see your "Incredible" layout (Pun intended) ] to my latest one posted here [ ohmyhead's deviantART gallery ], I'd probably throw up and pass out. And this doesn't include the 13 years of mild graphics stuff I did before getting my phone.
I don't mean to discourage. We were all new at some point and welcome an eager person wanting to dive in. I just want you to see what may be in store. Of course you may be a natural and can pick it all up no problem. It will still require reading and patience, though. As for where to go to learn stuff, I started right here in this thread. I'd see a widget or something I liked, ask what it is if not already listed, download and install it. I'd click on links in the signatures of people whose work I thought was cool, finding more info and new sources of info and material to feed my new addiction. If I needed even more info or wanted to change something about it, I'd hit Google which would usually take me to Android Forums & Windows Phone Discussion @ xda-developers. When you get around to graphics stuff, GIMP is a poor man's Photoshop. As in free. Get it, install it, read about it, and when you get some ideas, Google GIMP tutorials which may show exactly how to do what you want. Experiment. I've had many happy accidents by just messing with stuff in a graphics editor.
I won't root my phone as I don't really see the need for me to. I use LauncherProPlus and Widgetlocker for starters. Both cost money, but not very much money at all. And they allow me the flexibility to make such lovely things as this...
The sky's the limit with your phone, sc00ter. If you've got the time and the drive, we can all look forward to seeing what kind of magic you can make! The folks in here and on some other threads are extremely helpful. You need only ask and, if warranted, toss some thanks around. Good luck!

Supra, your wallpapers amaze me, man.
Here's my layout. This is my first real layout in MIUI, so I'll get better as I go along. This is using ADW.Launcher, ADW EX seems not to have an option to not use the theme icons (you can choose icons from different ADW themes, but you can't tell it to use the system icons, which are the MIUI .mtz icons).
Lockscreen: Five Target Unlock by MIUI
ADW.Launcher
Icons from MIUI themer (a chinese named one)
Wallpapers from redbubble

Hahahah but that's the og style!. I jus use gimp. Started puttin them together so I could save space on my flickr where I keep em all. But wtf, so adw lets u use the theme icons, but not EX? backasswards wtf.
Anyways, what I usually do, is pull them out of the mtz and just make a folder of them on my sd card. Then use adw's individual shortcut stuff to make my icons. Jus a fyi on how I do it, and thanks, I have a shit ton of walls haha. It never stops growing. If u want any I can send u em sometime, jus hit me up on the .us irc.

I just wanted to do something simple, with an Ice Cream Sandwich feel. My last few have been kinda busy and I was non-rooted using LP. This time I did something different.
So it's been awhile since I posted here. Received a Dinc II as a replacement when my Dinc's power button crapped out. Managed to downgrade last night and got my phone rooted again finally. So I figured I'd share my setup (even if it a Dinc II)
Multicon and Desktop Visualizer to access Apps Organizer categories
Multicon and Desktop Visualizer for text icons that were made with Simple Text
Desktop Visualizer for the large self-made icon for phoning Nikki

Have been looking for this wallpaper for a while. The screenshot is everywhere but no download link for the wallpaper, which is not inside miui rom neither. Could you please provide a link?
Thanks

It's been awhile since anyone posted... So. I think this is my first screenshot here.
I use WidgetLocker
Smooth Calender for the calendar
Days Left Widget for the countdown
SMS Unread Count for the phone and text icons
Lockscreen Clock for the clock
Can't remember where I got the wallpaper - I think it was on Zedge - I've had that wallpaper for a really long time and just haven't used it until now.
Figure I'll post mine up, though I have a tendency to change it every week or two.
Lockscreen is stock ICS, nothing special there, hence no screenshot.
ROM is KANG 4.0.4
Apex Launcher
Simple Calendar Widget
Icons created with Simple Text Creator
MinimalisticText (small text in the center right of the main home screen, uptime of the phone)

Before ICS, I never got into using folders but now I can't see not using them.
Re: Let's see your "Incredible" layout (Pun intended)
My home screen. I don't use too many apps. Launcher pro with simple icon app. I only use mobile data and never WiFi. It's always on and I use a droidwall app to stop unnecessary data usage and battery power consumption. For email I use touchdown. No screenlocks and no SD card either. EMMC mapped as SD. Volume keys disabled. Phone rooted and bloatware removed. Works great and is pretty fast now.
