If you choose to back them up on the Google Server when you set your phone up, you can check in settings to make sure you did.

I'm sorry this didnt answer a single thing i asked >.< i dont want to back them up to the google server, i just want to know if i do a factory reset on my phone will my CURRENT list of apps be restored when i sync it back up with my gmail account? i dont want it to redownload every single app i have ever downloaded, i want it to redownload the exact apps i had on my phone before i did a factory reset, i see nothing of this in the sync options

Hi,

If your HTC phone is NOT rooted HTC does not make it possible to backup APPs or user data within the APPs.

There are backup programs that will backup all data but your phone has to be rooted. The Gmail account does NOT backup Apps or APP user data.

What about paid apps? If I do a factory reset will I be able to re download those apps?
