It is, thank you. I have the option to update it from the hub. However when I go to update or view the app from the hub it loads for a long time and just says 'application not found', weird. Factory reset should do the trick and I'll try again.

My phone won't update to the current software (No, not ICS)
I contacted HTC about it and they told me to do a factory reset on it.
I did and it still doesn't work. I don't get it.
All the other updating works, i.e Firmware and the others, but not HTC software.

I'm pretty bummed. ICS is going to come out soon and I'm not going to be able to update to that either, probably.

You're using a Sprint phone, right? If so, download and install this:

Goo.im Downloads - Downloading RUU_Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_2.17.651.5_Radio_1.06.00. 1216_NV_NV_spcs_1.42_release_233304_signed.exe

The way you do it is you connect your phone to your computer, then go into Settings > Applications > Development > and check USB Debugging.

Install the drivers for the phone (if you haven't already). If you don't have the drivers, install HTC Sync.

Then run that program. It takes a few minutes to boot. It'll force the upgrade to the latest OTA (2.17.651.5).

It's normally a rooter's tool to return to 100% stock, but it'll work stock phones to upgrade, too. It does not root your phone. It's just like taking the OTA, but you're installing through a PC instead of over the air.

I posted a thread yesterday asking what alternatives can I use on evo 3D for voice calls and texting if I wanted to drop the service and just go wifi. What would my phone miss if I didn't have a Sprint number, updates, GPS or voicemail. The thread seems to have up and vanished. Any idea where it was moved to or why?

My guess is the people that have the answers aren't reading this thread anymore. That or nobody cares enough to answer. Sucks for us. My thread disappeared and I want to know why it still shows in my profile and not on the forum. I guess since this isn't an evo question than no one cares but the thread topic was quite good I thought.

Vertical shift is to strong in 3D images & videos recorded by Evo3D:-(
This make huge discomfort for look 3D on 3DTV and 3D monitors.
HTC will fix all EVO 3D for free soon, because this is hardware issue.
Anyway I sold mine own and I'm HAPPY LG Optimus 3D user.

All the best

Why can I not open a sticky topic using the show/hide button? I'm trying to get the info on volume 2.11. Can someone please direct me to an alternate location if this is broken?

Default Boot.img FAIL

I have a evo 3d with hboot 1.58 runing 2.89 I tried to root my phone and get SU to work, but it did not. I found a few ways to attempt this but ended up flashing twrp recovery and flashing a boot.img. While doing so My phone will no longer go past the HTC screen that first appears while booting up. When I try to do a factory reset through recovery to get back to FACTORY settings, it will go into twrp and It dosnt reset back to stock. HOW DO I GET MY PHONE TO WORK AGAIN???!! PLEASE help me

Default rooting HTC Evo 3D

I'm trying to root my HTC Evo 3D (EMEA). I have installed official update (ICS 4.0.3). I tried some tutorials here and on xda-developers forum. Only thing in which I succeeded was unlocking bootloader with htcdev.com (I have unlocked bootloader, but there is S-ON and almost every tutorial is for S-OFF). I downloaded many recoveries and none of them worked. In console was everything ok and then after rebooting to recovery phone rebooted normally and turn on.

Do you know where to get recovery which will work or how to get S-OFF from S-ON what I believe could help?

Android 4.0.3
Software version 3.28.401.1

How do you get the Sound icon onto the home screen? Had to have my Evo 4g reset, and now it's gone. Thank you!

Screen long tap, Widgets, Browse all HTC Widgets, scroll through the massive set to find the desired sound icon.

Default 3vo Contacts won't sync with Google...

Noticed they hadn't synced since late October. Nothing momentous happened with the phone on that date. I had been using GO Contacts with no trouble, but I backed up contacts and deleted data and GO Contacts.

I reinstalled the data and got one clean sync, but the sync issue continues. I can't seem to find a viable solution anywhere, despite searching Google. The error message I receive is:

"Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

And of course, it never comes back...

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Cool Lockscreen

I'm trying to change the lockscreen to ya know, unlock the phone. The swipe unlock and I can't seem to find anything anywhere. My Android version is 4.2.2 . And I hate the lock screen. Is there anyway to change it back to the ICS lockscreen?
