Default SEIDIO Case Reviews

I have received a Seidio Convert case for my 3VO to review.

What is in the box:
Hard plastic inner case
Rubber outside
Hard plastic clip
Holster
1 Screen protector

Initial thoughts:

The screen protector given is their ultimate screen guard. basically a static screen protector. I an not good at applying these, i always get bubbles that will not come out. Would have thought that Seidio would have gone the way of other case makers and would have included screen protector as part of the case and not an add on.

Instillation:
Very easy, similar to the convert case i had for the OG EVO (HAHA). Slide on hard inner case, put on rubber outer case, apply outer plastic clip, and you are done.

Holster:

Fits face in only. Lock on clip to keep phone in holster. Belt clip swivels for multiple options to wear.

Camera Protection:
As with the EVO case, there is a flap to cover the camera. This time, there is a tab at the top to pull out the flap. However with sausage fingers like mine, still a little difficult. Also, the flap stays down on the back of the case better than with the EVO, so there are improvements.

Thoughts so far:

Not a fan of the screen protector, however, 3d is very watchable with this screen protector, almost a little easier to view.

Rubber case is not slick and stays place when putting in and pulling out of pocket. Camera cover and charging cover are relatively easy to use. 3d switch, camera button, power button and volume rocker are easy to use.

More to follow with use over the weekend.

Initial rating 7.5/10

After first 3 days of use, the rubber covering the charging port is starting to rip, other than that, case holds up pretty well

Why do you say you aren't a fan of the screen protector?

The reason why i dont like these style screen protectors isnt because they dont protect the screen, but because no matter how many i have put on since my plam pre and evo 4g i can either never get all the bubbles out or get a little piece of dirt under them. they do a good job protecting the screen but just dont ever fit right for me. i prefer the phantom skinz

The surface case, which is the base layer, can be used as a case by its self. It is the base to all the cases. The convert case is added to this layer for more protection.

Default Seidio Convert Combo Review

Part I

Hey guys, recently I was contacted by Seidio and given a chance to review their Convert combo for the EVO 3D. They sent out the case last week, and I received it on Monday, June 27th. I've been playing around with it, and here are my findings.

Packaging:
It came in a little box delivered by Fedex. There was the case/holster in its packaging, a little card advertising some of their products, with a 10% off code for your next purchase on the back.

The plastic container contains a plastic sleeve with one ultraclear screen protector, a Seidio Surface case for the EVO 3D, a rubber case to wrap outside of the Surface case, a plastic skeleton to go outside of the rubber case, and finally the plastic belt clip/holster.

You can see the pictures below:

Preliminary Feel:
Before putting any of the products on, the individual parts feel ok. I checked the packaging and each part to make sure there wasn’t anything looking out of the ordinary, to make sure I didn’t receive a defective unit and that nothing was damaged during shipping. So far so good!

You can see all the pieces of the case here.

The Phone:
First things first, here’s my brand new EVO 3D, without any case or screen protectors. You can see the size, the thickness compared to my USB and keycap, as well as what the screen looks like without any screen protector on. The USB is a Patriot XPorter, and the keycap is a standard key from my Deck Legend keyboard.

Note the 3vo does not lie perfectly flat by itself.

Screen Protector:
As stated previously, it’s the ultra-clear variant (don’t know if Seidio sells any other kind), and it covers the entire screen and the capacitive buttons. You can read the details in the picture below. The packet contained the screen protector, a microfiber cloth, and a little application card, which is just a small piece of cardboard with straight edges.

It took me about 5 minutes to apply the screen protector. I found it easiest to line up the upper edge with the top of the screen, and then slowly press down the screen protector by bending it. At somewhere past the midpoint of the screen, it’ll become hard to hold on to the screen protector without shifting it. At this point I simply let go and let it fall on the screen. If you’ve lined up the top right, it’ll fall on the screen perfectly, and there shouldn’t be any air bubbles. Then use the application card to scrape out any air bubbles if necessary.

The screen protector itself works very well. I cannot tell the difference between before and after putting it on with the screen on or off. This is indoors though, I haven’t gotten a chance to look at it outdoors and see if it does remove some of the glare. I took 3 pictures of the phone w/o the screen protector, and 3 pictures of the phone with it on and you can see them below. The screen protector also feels very good and slick. It doesn’t feel quite as good as the bare screen that’s clean, but definitely better than that bare screen that’s full of fingerprints. The screen protector is also much better at resisting smudges and fingerprints, so you don’t have to wipe it every 5 minutes.

No screen protector:

With screen protector:

Note: the phone was on max brightness for all of these pictures

Seido Surface Case:
The Surface case is made of plastic and comes in 2 pieces. The top and bottom pieces both slide on to the phone and connect by a little piece of latch on the bottom half of the case. The case feels sturdy, and the outside texture is that of smooth rubber but not slick like hard plastic. So it’s not too grippy, but not so slippery that it slides out of your hand. The inside of the case is lined with a felt like material, so it will not scratch the phone.

Before I put the case on the phone, I tried putting both pieces together by themselves and was surprised to find that the resulting case was very loose; It barely stayed together. But once I put the case on the phone, the result was very sturdy and both pieces stayed on tight. That’s just how it was designed, so don’t worry if you piece the case together w/o the phone and it feels like it’s going to fall apart

Once on the phone, the case is very form fitting, and does not add much bulk. The case raises the phone just enough on the front so that the screen is barely off the surface and just enough on the back so that the camera will not make contact with a level surface.

Seidio also left just enough space around the camera ring so that you could still see the red paint and that the speaker is not blocked. Very good attention to detail The case did not block any ports/buttons, and I still found all of the buttons easy to press. If I had to nitpick, it blocks part of the 2D/3D label on the phone, but you can still kinda read it. This would make a nice slim case to carry in the pocket. Although one concern I do have that I did not get to test is whether this makes the phone significantly hotter due to the felt like material on the inside of the case.

I don't know what this little hole is for, but Seidio has made a cutout on it on their case, so the attention to detail is awesome.

Default Part 2

Rubber case/Plastic exoskeleton:
Going on the outside of the Surface case is a rubber wrap-around case to protect the phone from scratches and absorb shock from falls. I didnít test shock absorbency because I didnít want to chuck my new phone at the wall , but the rubber feels thick and bouncy, and I feel the plastic skeleton gives a good amount of rigidity to the case. With the rubber case and plastic exoskeleton and the screen protector, the only parts of the phone exposed is the 2D/3D switch and the earpiece and front facing camera on top. Overall, I feel it protects the phone well and it feels solid in the hand, though it does add a good amount of bulk to the phone.

The rubber case covers every switch and port except for the 2D/3D toggle. There are bumps over the power, camera, and volume buttons so they are easy to find by feel. One of the common complaints for the EVO 3D is that the power button is too easy to press, and the volume buttons are too difficult to press. Surprisingly, the rubber case makes the power button harder to press than normal, and the volume rockers easier to depress. I think this is because the power button is located on the left top corner, near the column from the plastic exoskeleton, so that thereís extra stiffness at that part. The rubber over the volume rockers on the other hand, makes the volume buttons more protruded and easier to press. The camera button feels the same, and neither it nor the 2D/3D toggle jiggles anymore. And finally the camera cover pulls back and the little knob on it fits into hole on the back of the plastic exoskeleton, so it holds that piece in place when you're taking a picture.

Belt Clip/Holster:
The holster is kind of like the bottom half of the Surface case, but bigger and the back extends to the whole length of the phone. There is a spring tensioned clip at the top of the holster that holds the phone, which goes in the holster with the screen facing inside. The inside of the holster is again lined with a felt like material, so your screen wonít be damaged (it doesnít touch the screen anyways). The clip on top has a recessed face so you donít have to manually push it back with your finger when putting the phone into the holster. Just dock the bottom of the phone into the bottom of the holster, and push the top of the phone into the clip. The slanted shape of the clip and the slanted shape of the rubber case will allow the phone to simply clip into the holster. To take the phone out, youíll need to push back the clip and pull the phone out from the top.

Thereís another larger clip on the back of the holster to clip unto your belt. In the vertical position (parallel with the length of the case), thereís a bit of wiggle, but it goes away in the horizontal position (perpendicular to the length of the case). Thereís also a little hook at the end of the belt clip, which prevents the holster from falling off if youíre running or jumping. Itís a nice detail to see, but it means youíll probably have to use both hands to remove the holster. And another nitpick here, the sticker on the top clip was misaligned I know it means absolutely nothing about the case, but it drove me nuts and I promptly removed it haha.

I think the holster is meant to be put on w/ the belt clip in the vertical position, and then worn during the day w/ the phone turned in the horizontal position. That way the phone doesnít brush against your body and itís super easy to remove and put back into the holster. The only thing I would say is itís easy to press the volume buttons and turn on the screen, but you would have to take the phone out of the holster to press the power button and turn the screen off again. Nothing hugely annoying, and it only happens if youíre playing with the phone while itís in the holster.

^You have no idea how hard it was to take this picture haha

Conclusion:
Overall I would say the Seidio Convert combo is a great product, the included Surface case and screen protector makes for a great slim case to carry around in the pocket, and the outside rubber case and plastic exoskeleton combo provides good protection if you donít mind the bulk. Finally the holster is easy to use and great for someone who wants to carry their phone on the belt clip instead of in their pocket. I hope this has been helpful, and please feel free to ask me questions about the case.

And yes, you can use the belt clip as a kickstand

I didn't think any case could get bigger than my otter box but it seems yours has.

Could just be the angle of the pic.

Now that is what I will call a review!!!! Excellent work. They should send you a check with the next case. Still prefer my Otterbox, but it is on the list for cases I would like to try. Thank you for your time and effort.

I've never tried the Otterbox cases, but I'm sure they are nice as well.

The rubber case/plastic exoskeleton is a bit too big for me just carrying it around in my pocket unless I'm wearing gym shorts or loose fitting clothing. But the Surface case is something I would use on a daily basis if I wanted to carry my phone in my pocket.

Default Seidio Innocase Active for the EVO 3D

I previously had an Innocase Active case on my EVO 4G which I loved. So I knew I would love the one for the EVO 3D. Best phone put there and best case for the phone. The Innocase Active comes in 2 parts a black silicone cover and then a hard plastic that goes over the silicone. Comes in several colors and Purple is my favorite which I had on my 4G.

First you put on the black silicone which feels nice in your hand. There is an opening for the 2D/3D slider switch and the camera button is covered which is nice. Very easy to turn volume up and down on the sides. Top of the phone has an opening for a headphone jack and it's very easy to turn the phone on and off the power button is not hard to push like on some cases. Cut out on the side of course to charge the phone. The black silicone does attract a little lint and dust but I just wipe it off it's not that big of a deal to me and wouldn't stop me from getting this case. This covers your whole phone from top to bottom which is what I like. Some cases have open spots across the front on the top and bottom and this covers it all nicely all around the front of the phone.

After the black silicone is on there is a hard shell that fits over the black silicone. It snaps on each corner and on the sides of the phone to protect your phone quit well. For some reason I just love the feel of this in my hand. It doesn't make the phone to bulky looking or big feeling. It has a nice grip on the sides and feels great when holding in my hand. I think it's easier to text ,email or surf the web holding the phone with the case on. Just feels really nice in the hand and isn't too heavy feeling. Camera is exposed in the back but the case is lifted up in the back where the camera is so laying it on it's back won't hurt the camera.

I highly recommend this case for your EVO 3D and can tell you it will protect your phone well. I dropped my EVO 4G once with the Active case on it and my phone was fine not one messed up spot on my phone. I don't have any cons about this case except the little but of dust and lint I wipe off of the black silicone. Other than that I think this case is great and protects your phone really well and feels great in the hand while talking surfing the web or doing whatever it is your doing on your phone. I used all Seidio on my last phone and will continue to buy Siedio products. They stand behind there products and if there is a problem they will take care of it for you.

Same here my 4G was on my lap and I got out of car and it hit the concrete. My phone was fine but the side of my Active got messed up the purple chipped off and you could see black but I still used it cause I loved the way it felt in my hand. I love the one for the 3D it's great. I hope I don't drop my phone. I kind of wish I had the holster now just to clip it on to my purse but it's ok I don't need it. I'm using a Calrivue clear screen protector. But my friend he got to review the convert combo with holster and it came with a protector but he already had the Carivue one on. But he loves the convert too it's more of a guy case.

Default EVO 3D SEIDIO ACTIVE Case Review

Hello all. I have been given an early chance to review the Seidio Active Case for the Evo 3D. I have included all my observations and thoughts below as well as a link to pictures of the case.
https://picasaweb.google.com/113545061230245292170/ActiveSeidioCasePictures#

First impressions:
The skin and skeleton that make up the Seidio Active Case strike me as well made. I had initially thought the unique design of the case would make certain ways of handling the phone uncomfortable. However, whether held in portrait or landscape, the phone in this case is comfortable in the hand.

Protection:
The Active Case two piece design provides good protection for the phone. The design allows the phone to be set down on either front or back as actual surface of the phone will not touch on any level surface. There is roughly a millimeter or so of depth here. The surrounding layer of silicon sleeve skin and rubberized coated skeleton physically covers and protects everything else, with the exception of a few openings noted below. The skeleton portion has six ‘clips’ that attach it to the rubberized skin at the corners and at midpoints on each side of the case. These protect the phone at key spots that, in my experience, are some of the first spots hit when the phone is dropped.

Visual and Tactile impressions:
There are several different colors of skeleton to choose to go along with the black skin. I chose a black skeleton to keep it as close looking to stock while giving my phone the protection it deserves. The skin portion that first goes onto the phone is a silicone sleeve. The skeleton is made of a smooth rubberized coating material that doesn’t slip in the hand. The skeleton is placed over top of the skin. This combination gives the phone a unique look that looks good and feels good in the hands.

Functionality:
The Active case surrounds the entire phone and covers some parts while leaving openings to others. There are openings for the charger/HDMI port, 2D/3D switch, headphones and a tiny hole at the bottom for those whom wish to attach a lanyard. The power button, camera button and volume rocker are all covered. The use of the phone was not hindered in any way when needing to access any of the parts noted above.

Connectivity:
During phone calls, there was no signal loss and phone calls have the same quality as without the case. Speed tests of data connections via Speedtest.net are on par with previous tests. Bluetooth connections also work properly with no distortion.

Final thoughts:
As a daily use case, this is an excellent choice. It is well protected while adding very little in the way of weight or size. The looks and feel of the case are aesthetically pleasing while not interfering with the Evo 3D use and functionality.

If anyone has any questions, ask away

REVIEW: SEIDIO ACTIVE CASE!

So I wanted to start out this review by saying, that when I originally bought my Evo 3D, I had purchased an Otterbox case which they sell at Sprint for it as well. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to my phones and always have to have them protected. I had the Otterbox on till the day I received my Seidio Active case from the great people of Seidio to try out. To be honest, I was actually going to use the Seidio case for a week and then go back to the Otterbox, but actually I just got back from Sprint, I just returned the Otterbox.
I have to say that in my opinion this Seidio case has the Otterbox beat hands down. The grooves that the Active case has for your fingers and the material they use for the silicone underlay just feel better. I compared the Otterbox to the Active case and when it comes to size, the Otterbox in my views is bigger and bulkier, but it seems that the Seidio case more protection. The silicone on the Otterbox feels like its half the amount used on the Active case, it’s a flimsier feel then Seidio’s. Now you would think because the Seidio case is smaller, it would give you less protection, but I feel that my phone is much more protected.
Another benefit with the size of the Seidio Active case, is that it feels much better in the pocket, however with both phones there is a bit of resistance when taking it from the pocket due to the silicone, but it happens with all silicone based cases. The only real downside I have seen with the Active case when using it for the past couple of days is that the silicone attracts lent from your pocket, but can easily removed with a wipe of a cloth.
The main thing that I am happy about, and have read in other reviews of the case is the protection the case provides to the camera. I had recently bought a TPU case from online and returned it immediately after seeing that the case lined perfectly with the camera casing, leaving it open to scratches and marks.
Another big thing that is a benefit with this case, compared to the Otterbox, is that all the cut outs for the power button and charging ports line up perfectly. I noticed that on the headphone jack on my Otterbox it was cut out incorrectly leaving me to have to jam the headphone jack into place. Not with the Active case, everything lines up perfectly. The silicone is cut to an exact precision. I know that the ports don’t have a cover like the Otterbox, but I actually prefer this, its an easy access and most of the time, I am prepared for those covers to break off in time, giving the phone a cheap look.
I know that some are disappointed that the case doesn’t come with a built in screen protector like the Otterbox but not I. I love that it doesn’t, I feel that the built in protectors have a more rubbery feel to them then other protectors. I would personally recommend the Screen Guards from Seidio; they are smooth like glass and fit to a tee.
In an overall judgment I give the phone a 10/10. There is not one thing I would change about this case, I love it more then anything. It looks great and feels even better. I would highly recommend this case to anyone who is in the market for a new case. Not only are you buying a great case, you are buying it from a great company that is willing to go that extra mile and help you out when it is needed, whether it is a return or replacement, and this type of customer service just gives me that little extra push to buy Seidio then any other company.

I received my Seidio Active case today as well. I will probably make the case my primarily at some point. I love the fact that the case is smaller than the Otterbox case. The Otterbox is for construction workers or those who may drop their phone a lot.

I love my case from Seidio!

Default Otterbox FTW

I have purchased 5 Seidio cases and added a convert case for the "rugged" protection. Dropped once from 30" the corner of the skinny plastic skeleton snapped off (case is useless). Called customer support (two weeks out of at the time 6 month warranty). My brothers active case was broken after 4 months dropped getting out of car (wasn't completely secured in holster). Seidio has 1 year warranties now (too little too late). I have owned multiple otterbox holsters. One issue concerning the rubber portion, called customer support received it three days later. And I dropped my old blackberry 15' to a concrete driveway. Phone rebooted but case and phone perfect! Amazing. My experience with Seidio is their lack of durability compared to my Otterbox experiences. No product is perfect. What seperates companies is their customer service/support after the sale. My .02.

Seidio...NEVER AGAIN

I'm an OTTERBOX FAN.

If someone wants holsters or parts (seidio) for Evo 4G I have many I will sell dirt cheap. Just PM me.

Charles

Default Seidio Convert Case Review

I got this case as a review case from Seidio a great company BTW!

The CONVERT Combo works great on my EVO 3D! The inner SURFACE case slips on very easy and comes apart just as easy. It is very comfortable and attractive.

The SURFACE case by itself is very good protection.

The CONVERTís silicone outer case slips over the SURFACE case so easily, then the hard plastic skeleton just slips onto both just as easy. It looks great and is extremely rugged.

With the inner SURFACE case and outer CONVERT case on, it doesnít even block the screen edges which really helps when typing. The camera lens ďflapĒ on the back of the CONVERT functions VERY cleverly to completely protect the twin lenses which could very easily suffer accidental damage.

The holsterís belt clip is the best I have ever owned. Once it is clipped on, I can't pull it offÖ it is literally impossible! The holster even has a locking latch that also makes it impossible for the phone to fall out of it while walking or even running.

I now know for sure that when I am out and about using the complete CONVERT Combo that the phone will not slip off of my belt or pants. If I happen to drop it while in use, I am confident that the phone will not be damaged. I donít have to worry about anything like I have in the past. The ULTIMATE SCREEN GUARD thatís included is icing on the cake! The CONVERT Combo has been designed very well and I have no need to shop around the next time I change phones.

Seidio stands behind there products and there customer service is great! I would highly recommend this case.

I saw that case and it is really nice and protects the phone well. I love the holster that came with it and now I kind of want a holster with my Active case. But Seidio products are really good. I just want that dock already like I had for my EVO 4G that fit the phone with the case on it. I think this person was just posting another review. Seidio gave several people cases for review I posted one on the Innocase Active.

I was thinking the same thing too. That thing is as big as a tablet device with all that artillery protecting it. Probably weighs twice as much as the phone itself.

Yea, it is pretty hefty with the Active case on. But when you think about it, you have the plastic exoskeleton on the outside, w/ a rubber case on the inside, and then inside that you have the Seidio Surface case which has a hard exterior and a soft felt type material interior. That's 4 layers of protection over the phone lol!

It makes the phone a tank, but it does very well in protecting your device, unless you drop your phone screen first onto a sharp rock or something.

I'm sure it really protects your phone but it can also be used just with the surface case too. My friend loves his and said if he was to drop his phone he wouldn't be too worried about it being so protected. But I didn't know the belt clip could be used as a kickstand.

If everyone is worried about dropping their phones. maybe someone should design a case with a 2 1/2 foot retractable cord to it, which would be attached to a belt clip. Long enough to extend for functional usage, but falls short of hitting the ground... Problem solved.

I've got a chain with a carabiner at both ends. I hooked a wire-string to the bottom of the phone that is attached to a small metal circle like you find on some keychains. One caribiner attached to a belt loop and one to the circle and the phone only falls to the end of the chain if dropped instead of the floor.

Default Matty Mo's Seidio Convert Case Review

So when I first received the new Seidio Convert Case, I was pretty excited. I thought it couldnt get any better then the Active case Seidio makes but I was wrong, dead wrong. The Convert case is practically two cases in one. Itís a Seidio Surface, with an add on silicone inlay that goes over that, and then an exoskeleton that goes over that. O and if that isnít enough, youíre getting a waist clip, which your phone goes into for easy access, and a Seidio Screen Guard. Providing the maximum in protection, this case makes the Otterbox weep in shame. I used the case as a the Surface case first for a day, and it is great, its light weight, easily removed and provides just the right amount of protection for the light weight and little size it adds to your phone.

The silicone overlay, covers all the ports to the phone, headphone jack, speakerphone, and volume rocker. The only access that is open to the elements is the screen and camera toggle switch. Even the back cameras are protected by a silicone cover, that covers the cameras while not using and while in use, can be clipped into the case, keeping it from moving around. Now I know most people have problems accessing the ports, while the are covered, but these port covers have little grips on the outside so you can easily pull them up from covering the ports themselves, this makes access extremely easy and quick. Now my biggest gripe with the Otterbox is that the covers for the ports always ripped or tore off within the first week, but with Seidios silicone there is no sign of ripping or tearing in sight, which is a major plus! This only confirms in my mind the quality of Seidioís products.

The waist clip/holster is another bonus, once the phone is clipped into the holster, you can lock it in, so no matter what you cant unlock it, providing you with the comfort that the phone isnít going to pop out, like so many of my phones have down before. This clip, on top of the surface, silicone and convert skeleton makes this case the most rugged and provides the most protection, the best of both worlds.

The screen guard on the phone, which no matter what, I always buy for my phones, is amazing as well. Clear and smooth as glass. Covers the whole screen including the four home buttons on the bottom, which the Sprint OEM guards donít do. I really like how the screen guard covers the whole screen, because unlike most cases, the whole screen is open for use, none of it is covered from the case itself.

Since using this case, I have dropped my phone twice and unlike other peopleís reviews on the Convert case for other phones, the exoskeleton is still in tack with no sign of abuse. My phone is completely scratch free, like I expected it to be.

However, after that, I used it as the Convert, and have been for the past week, and I will never use another case. Although, the only two down sides that I have with this case is that it adds a little bit of size and weight to the phone. But for the amount of protection youíre getting in return, itís a fair and well worth trade. The second downside, which isnít even that big, but, should be noted is that the silicone inlay does attract a little bit of lent, while in the pocket. besides that, I really see no downside to this case.

I would have to say after using this case; I would give it a 9.9/10. And would highly recommend it to anyone I know!

The Convert Combo with the case and holster retails for $69.99, and if you want the case only and hold off on the holster, it would cost $49.99.

My friend got one from Seidio to review and he loves it! He got the whole everything with the holster and all. Makes me want a holster for my Active Case.

Come on man $70! This is what Im talking about with Seidio. They make nice "looking" products, but they rape the consumer like a multi-million dollar conglomerate. I mean comparably the otterbox and ballistic cases are $50 and trident only charges $35. I mean WTF!? The last seidio I bought was an innocase for my iphone 3g. A few months in, one of the tabs broke and sedio told me, that they would only replace it, if I paid the money for return shipping the broken case, and after they received it, they would ship out the new case. Shouldnt my 60% mark up of the competitions prices cover the shipping on a defective piece of plastic not to mention the fact that now I would be without a case for atleast 2 weeks. Any how, Im just saying, I feel Seidio is wayyyyy overpriced.

It's $40.89 from Amazon for the combo and $49.04 for the value kit, I wouldn't call that overpriced, nobody pays MSRP direct from the manufacturer.

I got an Active for my 3D though, $22 from Amazon. It's perfect for me and I'd say the best Scr Prot I've ever used (better then my wifes SGP Steinheil on her Nexus S), got it on with 0 bubbles or dust particles... woo

That stinks, I just got mine for $23.50 last week from Amazon. It was also the retail packaging, but mine did not include and the site does not reference a screen protector. Do you have any more details on that?

Oh, btw, I love the case too.

I just got a Surface case with the kickstand. I'm impressed with how well the kickstand performs. It's decently thick and placed in a very good location in the back. At first I thought the rounded off kickstand would prevent me from using it in portrait mode (vertical). But the kickstand performs well here. Due to it's thickness, it's very stable in portrait. So, of course, it works well in the landscape (horizontal) position. The only disadvantage that I see of this kickstand version, compared to the Surface case without a kickstand, is that when you lay it flat, it is slightly tilted. Even when folded back in, the mount for the kickstand does protrude. It is a very minor tilt, but it is noticeable.

Overall, though, the case is a very slim case. It has a soft feel that doesn't detract from grip. All the cut outs for the buttons and MHL port are beveled nicely. The case fits snuggly. It can be removed easily, but not so easily that I worry that it may fall off on it's own. It holds on to the phone securely. The camera is slightly recessed into the case, to offer it some scratch protection. The case does not block the red trim around the camera and does not block the speaker port. All of the buttons are slightly recessed, too, to prevent accidental pushing and prevents the camera button from snagging anything. Overall, if you want a slim case with a kickstand that looks nice, doesn't look cheap, and feels good in your hand, this is the case. Very little bulk with a good balance between protection and access to the phones features.

I received my black Surface w/ Kickstand & Holster on Monday. Works great... the kickstand is a bit hard to snap out a first but it'll get easier.

The fitment of Seidio cases are second to none. Doesn't add alot of bulk to the phone and it keeps the Camera Lens off the table.

I had that problem with the kickstand, too. I just shaved down the little tabs slightly with a file on some nail clippers I had. Just one or two runs over it should be all it needs.

Got the Surface Kickstand case also and I love it. I have gone through like 5 cases and this is the one I will be keeping.

It is the same thickness as the Surface case WITHOUT kickstand. The fit is excellent. Fits better then the Best Buy Platinum case.

Kickstand is very solid. When you open it make sure u click it back fully until you hear the click.

Definetly a great slim case with kickstand.

Got my Seidio extended battery (4000mah) and matching case yesterday. And now that it's had all night to charge, and I have the day off today, I plan on putting it to the test to see how long I can use and abuse it before the battery gives out... I'm thinking a few hours of Angry Bird, Let's Golf 2, Avatar 3D, and several other apps to keep me continuously entertained for hours on end.
