Default Does Google Talk sign in automatically after a reboot?

Does GT sign in automatically after a reboot? I don't use it and always open the app after a reboot just so I can make sure I'm signed out. Is this necessary?

Navigate to Google Talk *Settings> Uncheck 'Automatically sign in'> Press the back button> Press the menu button> Tap 'Sign out'.
