Default Tethering problem after voice call.

Dear, i am using EVO 3D and its been sailing smoothly so far. I am facing one issue with tethering though. If I tether my phone to my laptop for internet the data passes smoothly. Quite normally the data stops as a phone call arrive. But after the call is over, the data passing do not resume. I disconnected the phone and go through again the ritual of tethering the phone but even after this the data do not pass neither in the laptop nor in the phone. After restarting the phone it becomes normal again. Anyone have any idea what is happening? There should be a way to resume the data passing without restarting the phone.
