Default Lockscreen not working

I have a non rooted EVO 3D and the lockscreen no longer appears when turning on the phone. This happened last week and removal of the battery resolved until today. any ideas on why it stopped working and how to fix permanently?

Did you remove the battery again to see if it would clear the issue?

Add or remove any apps prior to this that can affect themes /wallpapers?

You are not rooted, and are you on sprint?

How long have you had the phone? Is it new or 3rd party /refurbished?

Battery removal seems to resolve, but it keeps happening. I am on Sprint. Haven't added any apps. New phone 4-5 months old....

If it keeps happening then you will most likely;y have to do a factory reset, it could also be an app that you installed that is conflicting with it.

I'm hoping to avoid having to do a factory reset, worse case, I will just keep pulling the battery. I haven't installed anything for several months, very strange...

factory reset isn't that big of a deal...if you are worried about losing contacts or apps, both can be saved easily. Play Store will keep your paid for apps, and contacts can be moved to your SD card or to your gmail account
