My phone keeps giving me a message saying it is unable to save attachments when trying to save images from text messages. I press on the image until it gives me Message Options of "Save" or "View". I press save and then it says "Unable to save attachment". The SD card still has 5.59GB of memory left and I have restarted it a few times, even took out the battery. Anything else I can try?

Does this happen to any message thread in your text app or just one thread?

Are you using the stock HTC text app?

Can you view the attachment?

How long have you had this issue?

Can you save attachments to the card from other apps?


What is the size of the card in your phone?

It happens in all text messages to me, and yes I am using just the regular text message app on the phone.
Yes I can see the attachment within the message and I can click on it to make it bigger. I haven't used any other apps where I have to save images to the card so I am not sure.

your SD card may be corrupt. are you able to add files and remove files from your SD card? have you had any other errors that could be related to the SD card?

i wonder if your attachments are being saved to your phone storage memory? its hard to diagnose over the internet but it sounds like SD card issues.
