Nice to hear it does not have to be plugged in, but you can plug it in to charge while using it.

I ordered the monoprice adapter and an hdmi cable. $17 for the adapter, cable and shipping. Not bad!

Yeah, my tv shows it as a 1080p source. I haven't tried surround sound yet (no hdmi on receiver).

With my HTC One X there is the same HTC mystery: With the HTC MHL and the Samsung MHL, with both my TV shows 720p. Other peoples post that their One X's shows 1080p on their TVs.

But when the One X is connected to the wireless HTC MediaLink HD, my TV shows 1080p.

Strange thing ...

Ahh ... I forgot to mention, with my HTC Sensation connected to the MHLs, the TV shows 1080p with both MHLs.

I wonder if there could be a hardware difference? What is your hardware version? I have 0003.
