Just as we discussed in the Evo 3D thread, the same applies here.
The 3vo had 1 GB ram, but after giving up some to share with the processor GPU, Android ramdisk and any other memory-mapped I/O functions, 830 MB of the 1 GB ram was left for the operating system functions and user apps.
Now we have graphics with 4 times as many pixels as the 3D and various other changes to support with direct memory access.
The result?
680 MB out of 1 GB ram for the operating system and user apps.
Where is most of that "missing" ram - you're seeing it every time you look at the display, so just like before, you're using regardless of whether you realized it.
Same as it ever was.
