As far as I know, to use the app, they have to be Android.

The app does use a server to route the information from your phone, to recipients phone. So it's possible they may have other apps on other OS devices.

EDIT: Looked them up. They currently only have apps on the Android OS. So yeah, only android devices.

There is some delay (test with my Wife's phone and mine in the same room.) Maybe 1 or 2 seconds. Not much. Nearly the same as talking on the phone.

So both people have to have the App open right? And is it speakerphone only?

It'd be funny if you could force your voice to come out of the other person's Evo at anytime you want.

Yes it is speaker phone.

And YES, you can yell at the person ANY time you want! ^_^

You can even Conference with multiple contacts. SWEET!

I THINK it automatially opens the app when you speak to the person.

***warning*** I love this app and use it all the time.. i use it to show the phone off to people... but I got a "chirp" from my brother-in-law while I was on another phone call, i replied to him once then closed the program and went back to the phone call screen..

After I hung up he called me and told me he heard my whole conversation.. one sided of course but heard everything I said.. not sure why and haven't played around with it yet to recreate it.. but that could be potentially hazardous if you decide to talk crap about someone or reveal personal info...

just a heads up

2) no search feature to go through a long list a contacts

This app is chaos! I love it. Everyone I know is yelling at everyone I know, all the time. Awesome! And I like how in the comments section for this app in the market, people are putting up their phone numbers asking to be chirped.
