Default Linux and USB teathering

While I wait for my Evo (Sprint put me on a waiting list, who knows how long that will be), I would like to know if anyone has used the USB-teathering with a linux machine (probably using one of the apps that can be downloaded like PDAnet).

Thanks
CP.
