Contact Widget works great and functions just like this. And it's free. Many different size options and you can make the background transparent. Functions great on Launcher Pro

Resolution doesnt matter too much. You really need to see how the pic will look if you're using multiple home screens. That's so annoying *rage*

You'll need some kind of photo editing software like Photoshop to move the center of the image to the place you want it. I usually want it in the center of the screen. That will depend on how many screens you're using as it will be different if even or odd number. It's not difficult but it does take some knowledge of the software. I'm using 4 screens and it turns out . . .

I really wish launcher Pro had options on how many icons go in the dock. i hate how small the icons are on the 5 icon dock. If so id do something like this. I pipe dream right now because they dont exactly line up right of course

Been living with this home screen for a little while. Was tired of small text icons so I made a Launcher Pro bar with larger text on the bar. Then I installed a custom transparent icon over each space on the bar. Far left is apps drawer, "LZG" is a direct dial.

Now I'm thinking that these fonts are a little too large ... hmmm.
