So i just updated my phone(HTC evo design) yesterday which was 08/08/12
and i liked the new features and the looks.

He probably just had a bad update download. I would recommend doing a factory reset and see if your problem is solved.

I, and many others, have updated to ics and don't have major issues. There's going to be some initial lag and a few force closing after you first update, but that's normal and should smoothen out for the most part. You should update and reap the benefits of our belated ics features. The only bug I have is that g-app force closes occasionally, but it doesn't affect my use at all.

I was assuming sbahn has a sprint evo design which would explain why he just accepted an update to ics. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

That's a good question, I assume that everyone here has Boost which is not the case. I just got the option to take an update the day before yesterday, I figured people would be talking about it.
