Default Phone replacement.

Just a quick question. How many of you have had to have your Evo V replaced by VM? I had to replace my Evo twice due to the wifi crapping out on me. Let's hope the same issue does not arise again.

I've had the phone since...Early October, probably. Haven't had it replaced yet. Here's hoping it stays that way, haha!

Sorry you've gone through a few of them, though.

I have never had a wi-fi failure of any kind. I can say that, before the latest update, I had more missed phone calls and text message failures when the wi-fi radio was on. When the wi-fi was off, and the 3G on, the failures were slightly less frequent, if you can call that good.

Yeah I went through 6 Triumphs in less than 5 months with absolutely no problems with Virgin arguing about it. Matter of fact when I first got my Evo the battery cover was bent and they didn't have it listed on their system so they just sent me the whole phone, pulled the cover off and sent the phone back.

I was hella surprised. She was like, "oh it wont turn on? Take the battery out and try to charge it. Still not working. Here's a new phone."

Made the call Sunday morning, got it Tuesday morning. I shoved the old damaged on in the mailbox at my apt complex today, sans the battery cover of course. I want two of em O_O

I haven't replaced mine, but my gf received a replacement because she was complaining about the text / call issues. Then the next morning she received the software update (took a week longer than my phone). That afternoon she received her replacement phone that we sent back.

The problem she has now is she took advantage of the $150 black Friday sale and returned her original EVO V 4G that she paid $230 for. Now she's waiting for the update all over again.

The HTC EVO V 4G is Virgin Mobile's first 4G WiMAX Android device. And if it looks familiar, it is because the phone is the same as the EVO 3D, but optimized for this network. Release date is set for May 31st, 2012, for a price of $300 off-co... Read More
