Default Still get OTA update rooted?

I rooted my EVO V, will I still get the OTA update even though I have root?

You should still get the notification but it will fail if you try to install it.

but the guide is so confusing :l

You can receive and install the ota while being on rooted stock along with the stock recovery otherwise it'll fail.

My system says there's an update, I'm rooted on stock rom... How do I go about installing it... I have 4ext recovery!!!

You have two options, either run the RUU to return to completely stock or get s-offed and flash the update manually.

If you had S-OFF, you would definitely know... If you want it, follow the guide to the letter, and you will get it eventually. Sometimes it takes a while. Someone said earlier that using a metronome (look on android market) set to 48bpm gives the right timing for the wire trick.
