voice sms messages!? I no longer can access my voicemail

I think Virgin got a voicemail upgrade that just screwed up my old voicemail. When I have a new voicemail I get a text saying "so-and-so has sent you a voice sms message. Call 650 603 0000 to listen". SO I called it and no matter what time of day I call I always get a busy signal, so I can never access my voicemail. Has anyone else run into this problem? How do I fix it? I've contacted Virgin about it. They tried resetting my voicemail but that didn't do anything.

Is your phone rooted? Have you changed radios recently? Can you receive calls, or make other outgoing calls?

If you are on stock or Harmonia, update profile in Settings will often fix these kinds of problems.

Not rooted, haven't changed radios, I can receive/make calls fine. Will try the profile update.

I think if you dial 1 you can get your voicemail as well???

I tried that. It said my number was not a recognized mailbox. I emailed Virgin again and they're working on it.
