Any standard BT keyboard should work. In fact the Apple BT keyboard works just fine for typing although the function keys don't work as labeled.
Having a keyboard is great for longer emails, I don't use it often but when you need it, nothing else will do.
The only complaint I've had is that the soft keyboard still sometimes fights to show up on the screen, but with the update it's easier to make the keyboard drop down.
Remember, if you've got a PIN code set on your lock screen it won't bring up the number pad to enter the code, it will expect it from the keyboard. The first time this happened I was a little confused as to what had happened, because I had put the keyboard away (but it was still with in range).
