Can't access alarm

I have an HTC Hero S with US Cellular, Android version 2.3.4. I don't know what happened but sometime in the past few days I've been unable to access the alarm. The alarm that is already set still works, it goes off every morning at 5:30am. And when it goes off I can still snooze or dismiss it. What I'd like to do is to be able to just disable the alarm. I used to be able to get to the alarm by going to the Clock app and then hit the little icon that looked like an alarm clock. Now when I go to the Clock app, the alarm clock icon isn't there. Please help me!

Go to settings>app settings then all and look for the clock click it and then clear data.

Also have you installed a 3rd party launcher like launcher pro or go launcher? Ifso you may have inadvertently hidden the clock app.
