Default Attempting to watch video on Hero

Ok.....So I may be stupid, but I cannot for the life of me, figure out a setting in which to playback video on my Hero.

I've tried a bunch of different bitrates using different converters (all of this info of which I've found through various forums and posts of people who claim they've successfully converted video to play on their Hero) and I can't get anything to work. The video will start to play, but about 4 or 5 seconds in, the video freezes while the audio continues on.

Am I missing a setting or something? I have no problems streaming Sprint TV or YouTube videos, it's just stuff from my SD card. Could that be the problem? Is the card just not able to process it that quickly? I have a hard time believing that because I've tried some pretty low quality settings to no avail.

Also, and this is a little off of this topic, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

For anyone using Gmote, have you been able to successfully stream video from your PC to your phone? Gmote claims that it can support mp4 streaming, but I've yet to have any luck.

Any help is always appreciated.

I just downloaded this and tried it out. Is it just simply a plug-in that reads the different codecs better, or is it a program? Everytime I attempt to open it, it just opens up the music player, however, if I go into my "Albums" app and play a video, it plays pretty darn flawless.

Use DoubleTwist, its just a drag and drop. If you want more options use Handbrake.

It's not getting it on the phone that's an issue. It's the phone actually playing the file. I have used Handbrake to convert the video and played with the settings, however, I can't get the video to seamlessly play.

I will try YXFlash, but for 20 bucks for the full version, it's a bit steep.

I can't believe there isn't a way for the native player on the Hero to play stored video.

I meant with DoubleTwist video conversion is drag and drop. Just drag the file you want converted to the Hero through DoubleTwist, it will take about an hour or so to encode it and it plays perfect.

My bad! Thanks....I'll check that out now.

I thought DoubleTwist was a sync program.

Thanks again.
