Well I bought it, Wifi doesn't switch off automatically but that's cool since I hardly use it. But what isn't cool is the APN button doesn't work. Well, in a way it's cool cuz the only time I'd bother turning it off I'd use Airplane mode anyway. I'ma keep it, a buck ain't gonna kill me. I just hope he fixes it soon. Nice app to have tho

I think WiFi has to have a default connection to automatically connect via-switch, cuz it works for me. ^_^ as for the network one, I dont really use it. I let JuiceDefender turn it off on its own, only when my battery is drained to 20% xD And I agree, $1 = dollar menu at McDonalds... LOL :P But really, over all, I love the app. Saves space, too.
BIG THANKS to BOO5TED for posting the instructions to take screenshots for nonrooted phones! Finally I can share my screens with you!
I converted my images to .jpg, so hopefully they won't take as much as the rest of the user's pics to load! Since my phone is not rooted, I guess there's nothing to show off, but at least now I'm able to share! And yes, I got the 2.1 update and I love my phone! =]
Nova - love the switch pro app suggestion - I just wish they would get the mobile network toggler workings, because that is my most used toggle.
I'm with you, Scotty. I emailed the dev and he replied that there wasn't a problem with the way it worked, but I guess I don't understand what you're supposed to do with it, then, because it doesn't work with my phone either. The flashlight button is being worked on and fixed right now, though.

Apparently a new release fixed the Network switch. I noticed after I updated, the widget turned the light on (instead of like my screenshot being off) but again, I push it, and nothing happens. Maybe another bug? Either way, im sure it will get fixed. (and for those who use it a lot, hopefully soon ^_^)

I think it might be something on our phones. I have extended controls and the APN button has the same problem.

I messed up my original post. Will upload screens once I figure out how to get the images smaller. They keep taking up way too much screen space. Was attempting to do so using photobucket and even attempted to resize to smallest setting. Here are some attachments in the meantime.

Reason: Messed up imaging codes.
Thanks for all the help... I am grateful.
Now I want to try to revert my boot screen back to the 1.5. I don't like the dull look of 2.1. Was reading on it but I think I will have problems. Funny that phones give me such problems when I can build and repair pc's lol

*Bumping this thread. I wanted to ask again lol, which calendar widget is that?
Where did you get the wifi mobile battery and gps switch widget?
If you're running 2.1 you already have it. It is the power control widget.
However, there's been some problems installing these extra HTC widgets, after the widgets are done downloading and they start getting installed, sometimes they get stuck on installing and will never finish installing. This happened to me and the only way for me to fix it, was hardresetting my phone. It happened with the battery and dice widgets. After hardresetting, I was finally able to completely install the battery widget and it works fine now. It doesn't happen to every phone, but there's been a few Eris and Hero users having these issues, so download at your own risk. It's not a big issue for some users, since there's many other apps in the market, but I was already used to that battery widget, so I kinda had to reinstall that widget, and therefore I had to hardreset my phone for a second time (I had hard resetted my phone already once, because I was having another issue which is now fixed, too) =]
P.S. After hardsetting my phone once, 2 more HTC widgets were available, and they are coin and dice widgets, kinda useless though. When I first installed the official 2.1 update, there were only 6 available, so now there's 8. Just letting you know...
Switched to Darchdroid. Loving it so far. I have discoverd that the next Android phone I will be getting will NOT have sense. All I like about it is the keyboard and camera. The keyboard is easily installed camera can't be but I can live with the AOSP camera for now.
that is one way but if your not rooted here is another way to do it
Step 1: Enable USB Debugging
On your Android phone (in this case, the G1), go to Settings, then Applications, and then Development. Check the checkbox for "USB debugging."
Step 2: Download the Android SDK
Download the SDK for your platform here. Google also has some great installation documentation if you get lost. You will need to make sure you have a current copy of the JDK. To use the SDK, you also need to download an IDE like Eclipse. After installing Eclipse, you can install the Eclipse plugin to connect Android and the IDE together, or just do a lot of stuff via the command line.
Go ahead and plugin your Android handset into a USB port on your computer, if it is not plugged in already.
Step 3: Run DDMS
After configuring Eclipse or whatever IDE you use to work with Android, you need to open up the DDMS application from within the "tools" folder in the Android SDK's main folder.
After DDMS launches, select your handset from the menu on the left (it should be the only device listed). You might see an error message, but the debug tool should be loaded. Then, click CTRL-S on your keyboard. This will bring up the "Device Screen Capture" interface. From here, a static image is captured from what is appearing on your handset. You can save the image (nicely defaulted as PNG) and then refresh to your heart's content to grab updated or different screenshots from your phone.
That's it!
Because alot of people are asking how to do a screen shot on a non rooted phone.
