Default Hero back button

Has there been a way developed to touch the screen as the back button on the phone or does it still remain the same on the pad? Is there a way to assign it somewhere else? Also have they developed a way to search forward? Can the processor do this? It would be nice if it could.Like in the settings you can go back but what about forward. Would it not know where to go back to maybe home screen?

There is an app called SoftKeys that enables hardware buttons to be mapped to buttons on the screen. It is only for rooted users though.

Check it out here: SoftKeys for ROOT USERS for Android | AppBrain.com .

I actually learned about that app back when I first got my B&N Nook Color. It was nice to have assignable buttons on the screen.

Of course, a lot has happened since that time. Now everything is baked right into the ROM.
