The vibration on the ringer is too weak and so I can't feel it and am missing lots of calls. I have read the posts in this forum and others. Aside from the folks who find the vibrate mode too strong (not my experience) I have not seen any post that offers a real solution to this problem.
Phone vibration strength is relative. I too think it is not strong enough and is very quick, but it doesn't bother me. I could be wrong but I don't think this is something that can be resolved with software. Maybe replace the vibration component...

I constantly miss text messages because I do not feel the vibration with my Hero in an Innocase II and holster. I think the vibration motor is too weak and if it at least could be set to vibrate longer it would help. I wonder if there is a software way to tweak that.
Many thanks! I would not have found that on The Market. I am going to try it out. It's pretty cool. You can customize your vibrate patterns for SMS and incoming calls with each being different if you want. You make patterns of short buzzes and long buzzes in whatever order and quantity you want.
