Default won't play 3gp

I'm trying to play a video that my friend recorded from his droid and it won't play. Any reason for this? It's 3gp format so figured Itll play fine. Also If using astro to view the video it'll say video cannot be played, even for the clips I've recorded from this phone! I can long press and open it as a video and it'll play. Kinda stumped...

After messing around for a bit, it still wont play. The only thing i can find that might be stopping it from playing, is that the video is 720x480. I can't find anything else different between the two .3gp files.

you said if you long press on the file it'll play... and even videos that you recorded on the phone in 3gp format won't play in Astro...correct??

if so.. then maybe it's a problem with Astro....

It'll play all the videos I record from the phone in astro, but not unless I long press.

Is it not possible to play a video that the phone doesn't support resolution wise? Like a 720x480?
