How does it take so long when developers who work for tips have already done this.
1. because it's ok for developers who work for tips to omit anything that doesn't work well
2. and developers don't have to provide care and support organizations at something like $4 per call ...
what I am running is fresh 2.0. all the stuff that is supposed to work on this phone does. all the Sprint stuff. all that is missing would be fixed by having the full HTC kernel which the pros have. so again why so long?

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Well for those rooted users out there. 2.1 is already out with working camera and all that. No need in waiting on sprint when the dev's at xda have already done it.

Do you think Sprint could release 2.1 with the camera but without video (or anything else for that matter) working?
Don't get me wrong, I love what the xda devs are doing. But it's still not close to a commercial release with all of what was already in 1.5 and committed to by Sprint, if you read it all ...
My real name is William P. Sprint and I founded the company. My brother-in-law is Michael M. Google, who founded the company that bears his name. We don't like to use normal communication channels but we can both confirm that Android 2.1 for the Hero will be released on December 8th, 2012. It will have a proximity sensor, a tire-changing tool, a Pez dispenser, and lots of other enhancements normally found only in hardware. Unfortunately it is too large for an OTA distribution so it will be distributed only by ESP. I'm not at liberty to say more at this time but I'm writing little clues on restroom walls around the country. Be sure to check a restroom near you for the latest news about Android updates.

Dont know if you have run it but its the same as what im seeing on the N1 and legend as far as features. Plus the speed of the rom makes 1.5 look like hot garbage. So im very certain this is as close to what sprint releases minus the worthless sprint apps. But thats just my opinion.
Until Sprint announces it OFFICIALLY, I could care less about these pointless rumor threads.
LMFAO, like any OFFICAL Sprint announcement is really worth all that much. I could care less about these rumors and your OFFICIAL announcements and wait for it to be on my phone...

Hopefully this update has more steps forward that backward.
