Default Charging Sprint HTC Hero with Blackberry Charger

Is it okay to charge the Sprint HTC Hero with a Blackberry charger? They are both listed as using MINI-USB ports but when you look at the actual plug, they look different. The Blackberry charger does fit, and charges, but i was just wondering if anyone had any issues. I went to the sprint store and asked them, but they said that they "heard" it would mess things up. But obviously they just wanted me to buy a car charger from them.

mini-usb cables work fine. Just like the one from the Razr works fine, as do mini-usb cables from cameras and the like. If it fits, it'll likely work.

Not so sure on how much power the charger lets through from the wall outlet, that should be the only iffy part, but I would think it'd be fine

I've been using my Blackberry charger at work (I keep the HTC one at home) since November without issue.

I use BB chargers more often than the Hero charger.
