Default What is HTC Hero system update 3.32.405.2?

Greetings!
I just installed it successfully, but I found no background information available on this.

The update notice had this to say:

Any questions? Contact us via HTC ? Support ? Customer Service ? Support via Hotline
- Update: Install G-Sensor Calibration tool

That URL gets me a list of international telephone support numbers.

I wish HTC knew how to use computers to communicate with their customers :-)

A little webpage should be able to explain what this update is about, other than "Update: Install G-Sensor Calibration tool".

Firmware version after update is still 2.1-update1 anyway.

Share and enjoy,
Adri^H^H^Hnaran

Hi I just installed the latest official update (Aug 9th) and it wiped most of the HTC sense widgets... The Home/Clock, Messages, Tasks, Footprints and parameter widgets are gone and some are missing in the add widget menu...Where are they ?

I also lost the wheather, clock, messages and mail widgets.
Forgot to mention that.
Perhaps it would have helped if I had saved the current scene before the update?

I tried loading the standard HTC Theme but these important widgets are simply GONE ... Is there anything I can do to get them back ? Hope HTC issues a fix for their 'update'

Edit : I switched the phone off and on again... I thought it was stuck for 5 mins but now the widgets can be found in the add widget menu again... What a cr*ppy update anyway

Reset to default and try to install theme again. Some of my friends also get this issue too.

Just restart your phone another time and the widgets will appear again unless you have selected a different scene. Try switching back to the previous scene if the latter is the case.

orientation is when you turn your phone horizontally and the phone's screen turns with you, like on web pages. You dont have to turn it on but I find it really useful for typing or watching videos :/ I updated to 2.1 a day or two after I got the phone, I really dont see any problems, and it's way faster. Just add the widgets yourself
