Where's my thread? - Changes to the Hero section.

Hey guys, as you've probably noticed our section of the forum has been given a bit of a restructuring, in the form of Accessories, Support and Tips sections.

So from now on we'll be moving new/active threads into the appropriate sections. That means that if you post a new thread and it disappears, we've probably moved it to another section for you

If in doubt, your User CP will always be able to link you to any thread you're involved in that has new replies. You can also track down your posts/threads via your profile.

But it would make life easier for us if people could please start using the new sections

And apologies in advance if any of us move a thread to the wrong place, which is always a possibility. Feel free to complain to any of the guides/mods around here and we'll get it sorted ASAP.

EDIT: Oh and it's probably worth adding that, if your post is to do with a CDMA Hero (Sprint, Cellular South, Altel and so on), your post will be moved to the Sprint Hero section or one of it's sub-sections. So don't go looking around the non-Sprint hero section :P

Just to add.... with currently active (and those recently active) threads we'll try to leave expiring redirects to help. These won't hang around for more than 2-3 days max though, just long enough to prevent threads dying due to lack of attention. I've already moved one or two stuck threads to a more appropriate home; these can't be redirected but they're obvious.

In addition to what Xyro said, the Quick Links menu at the top of the page contains "All Your Posts" and "All Your Threads" links. Also, remember that you can add frequently-read forums to the "Favourite Forums" bar on the lhs of your screen for easy access.

This hasn't been done on a whim; AF needs a uniform structure that will make locating (and organising!) the rapidly-growing amount of information throughout the various forums easier. This sub-forum structure has been in use in several of the high-traffic device forums for several months and has worked well. Hopefully the same benefits will soon be seen here.
