Default Camera - insert SD card

I'm having an issue where the camera kis asking for an SD card, yet it's in there.

All I've done is added pics from my N96 into the DCIM folder, which I've now pulled to one called Pictures - but still issues.

I have folders

DCIM
DCIM>100media (this has any pics I've taken with my phone since getting it)
Pictures (plus all the sub folders as was from the Nokia)
Photos
Images

I do have a desktop.ini file in DCIM. Could this be it?

Deleted all the desktop.ini, and nothing

Yet the phone reads music and files OK in gallery etc.

Have moved the 100media folder and deleted the DCIM folder, then placed the images back in the new DCIM folder the phone's just made.

Looks like windows did something to the permissions - even though I cleared them through vista.

FAT32 does not support permissions so that has nothing to do with it. did you unmount properly? On Windows you need to first use the 'Safely remove hardware' button on your taskbar. Then back on the phone in the notifications you need to re-mount the partition on the phone.

p.s. Desktop.ini is a Windows thing and will have no effect on a Linux based device.

I did remove correctly, but as I say vista did something to the permissions (read only etc) when I dumped the pics from my N96 in there too.

All's well now, so happy days.
