Default Google Maps on HTC Hero

Hi All

When using google maps for directions is there a setting you can use so the map moves. At the moment I have to keep adjusting it with my finger to show me where I am as I have driven off the screen :-)

Cheers

I don't think you can get it to update in realtime, you either need to try a different free app like rmap, or get some satnav software (copilot is cheap, a bit crap in places but fine for the price), or wait for the update to 2.1 ROM and hope that Google Navigation comes with it.

The map will lock on to your location, i.e. it moves as you move. If you adjust with your finger it will overide it though.

Yeah that's right. So long as you have GPS on of course, it will move in real time along with you.

I use the MY location option on google maps when I am driving around and it doesn't always move with me, it moves up to the edge of the screen that I start on then it stops and I have to keep clicking to get it to show or scrioll out abit to get abigger map on screen (GPS is on).
