Default apps trouble

hi all i cant open some apps downloaded from market anyone know what i might be doing wrong its not all apps just some

Are you sure they are apps and not widgets? Which apps?

Try rebooting your phone and see if anything changes.

Which ones did you use? Most of them are similar to a light switch, i.e. turns silent mode off and on.

It will not open like a normal program would.

If it's a widget then it needs to be added to a homescreen. Press and hold an area of homescreen and a menu will pop up to add widgets, folders, etc, to the home screen. Select the widgets and find your downloaded widget and add it that way.

After I updated to 2.1 using modaco any application I download won't open and I can't see them on my program list
