Default Gorilla glass?

Recently bought Incredible S. Though I didn't pay attention on this aspect before the purchase, there has been some speculation whether Incredible S does or doen't have the tough gorilla glass like Motorola Defy (which I also own and can say that it is definitely more resistant to scratches).

Also Samsung Galaxy S2 now prominently advertises gorilla glass as a feature.

I went about searching. Though the HTC specs. don't say so, the GSMArena spec. says it is gorilla glass:

HTC Incredible S - Full phone specifications

Also, Corning themselves list Incredible S as one of the phones have gorilla glass:

CORNING® GORILLA® GLASS | FEATURED PRODUCTS

So if it is in fact gorilla glass, then the question is why HTC doesn't promote it as a feature?

Thanks for confirming this I was curious myself. Glad to see it's listed on Corning's website.

HTC should promote this feature, gorilla glass is incredible stuff.

I had the same discussion with my friend, and we came to a conclusion, that premoting gorilla glass as a feature would reduce HTC made screen shield sales At least it was the only logical reason we could think of...

I put the corning's web site link in my email and that was the response. Unfortunately, it does not have gorilla glass. I think corning made a mistake. I thought they used gorilla glass according to reviews and comments.

Confused

"One thing we omitted to mention in the Incredible S review was that the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass, a feature that has naturally been included on the Desire S as well. We've made no secret of our admiration for the Gorilla tech, which you may check out in the demo video below. We'd do one for this particular handset as well, but doubt HTC would appreciate us trying to destroy its tenderly crafted device."

Engadet says it is Gorilla Glass, I just risked it and scratched the edges of it with my keys pretty hard (bought this phone for my bro's bday) and it reacts the same way my atrix does, which i know for sure is gorilla glass.

So much confusion! Whether it is gorilla glass or not, I purchased Ishieldz for my Incredible S and have no complaints. Other screen protectors are laggy and your fingers often stick to it, but not with Ishieldz! A little bit of extra security for the $20 CDN it costs

Been really confused, most sites say that the Incredible S has Gorilla Glass but since HTC can't seem to confirm it... Hope that it comes with it!
