If you still cannot get this upgrade in HTC incredible S, please kindly change the date on your phone later than the real date by the following steps:
Homepage--menu--settings--date& time--uncheck automatic--set date
i'm from KL, Malaysia. now using version 2.3.3...
i've change the date a month late, but still "Your phone is up to date"....

hang kena untick auto update tu.. pas tu tukar date. aku dah selamat dah pakai 2.3.5

I got it too! Around 230MB, and it took some 15-20 minutes for the update. .

You should search and read more of the threads here in this forum. It is a common question:
everything is smoother and faster. New software for camera and album. The lock screen works fine for me. My videos however has disappeared after the update. Maybe a backup is a good idea before you update. Also everything looks a bit paler in the home screens.
I have successfully downloaded the update 2.3.5 but while installing it my phone has hanged up , how much time did it take u to install the update ? What should i do now ? please help me out ??

Were you rooted and have S-OFF with Revolutionary before the OTA? If so, Revolutionary is preventing the OTA from installing successfully.
Is there an offline RUU for India (no specific carrier) that can be downloaded onto the computer and then copied over to the SD card for installation? Does it work that way?
What happens later if ever the phone needs to be reset after the update? Does 2.3.5 (or the latest update applied then) need to be re-downloaded?
I have WiFi but it is a slow connection, so is it fine if I plug the phone for charging and keep it overnight to download and install?

the update is really good everyone should update but with the new update the new camera features includes a little box in the corner of the camera viewing screen the has the last photo/video in it. Its really annoying does anyone know how to get rid of it??????

I am also having problems since updating my incredible s.
Before updating, I had terrible problems with text messages coming in delayed, sometimes upto a day late, even when others sent after would come through, as well as calls going straight to voicemail when i had full reception. this occured after the previous update, and this 2.3.5 seems to have solved it. however since then, Ive been having problems actually receiving messages at all, and I've had quite a few go missing (I am unsure how many - i only know when people ask me if i got it/why I'm not replying). This again is happening randomly, and can be working one second then stop the next.
i have been facing a lot of problems since updating my HTC Incredible S to android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0.. Many times the touch doesn’t respond at all and many times while typing a message, the bottom keys (like the spacebar, the arrow keys) do not work. some times even the menu, phone and the personalize buttons on the main screen do not repond.. is anyone having such problems?? i am from india, and i updated my HTC Incredible S in Jan 2012. please help and suggest me what to do… thank you

I am using HTC Incredible S and so far haven't received OTA 2.3.5 update for my phone, I have written mail to HTC Customer Support and all they can say is wait patiently you will get the update, please help me in this regard. Specs of my phone is mentioned below:
I am using the Phone in Pakistan. secondly has CID got anything to do with not getting the OTA update ? I have even changed the date in future but still didnt get the update.
Downloaded the update, done a backup first. Now after installing update software has messed up my contacts. (1) If you have a name in your contacts like R & B Turner it will back up only R & Tuner or if you have Mr & Mrs B Hardgrave, it will only save Mr & Hardgrave, this sucks.Along with this at the top of the contacts list it has My Details, this information is not backed up at all. It also changed the birth dates of some of my contacts from
30th May to 31st May & 28th Feb to 29th Feb. even if you delete the contact & reinstall it with the correct date, it still changes it. HTC said the issue hs been referred to home office & they might make a fix for it, but don't know when or if they will for sure.
