I have had my HTC Incredible S for about 7 months and it always charged perfectly.
My car has a USB port in it, and I thought that I could charge my phone with it, but apparently i couldn't. It did not work at all! So I thought it was just that the car didn't have enough power for the charger, however, when i got home, i tried to charge it again, but it was charging VERY slowly, and I got a message saying "Charge current too slow, please switch to AC adapter".
The thing that puzzles me is that I WAS using my ac adapter, as that is the only charger that comes with my phone. I left it on the charger overnight and when I woke up it was completely dead and would not turn on. A similar thing happened to my sisters phone (she also has the HTC incredible S) and all we had to do was Factory Reset the phone. I tried that with my phone (I used my sister battery) and it was fine, but when I put my own battery back in, it shut down and did not charge once again. Is it my battery's fault or is there another problem. Why is it not charging? Please help me!

If it works fine with your sister's battery, but not your own, then your battery is probably toast.
