Default Inspire no contract pricing 399.99?

Captivate is 449.99 no contract and 149.99 on contract. Following this logic it would be 399.99.

Many of us have seen, myself included, in the radio shack system computer that the price they have as MSRP at $449. Logic does not always dictate reason.

. I do know sometimes pricing changes on the day of the launch, however 399.99 isn't out of the question

Ok, you've seen them, and you've even seen them in the POS. Do you know a price, or is it speculation?

399.99 is the confirmed non-contract pricing now.

Rejoice friends who are paying full price like I am that you aren't paying 499.99.!

I'm so tired of people making crap up.

RadioShack won't get the SKU in their system until tonight so anyone claiming to have "seen it in the system" clearly doesn't know how RSH assigns their SKYs:

RadioShack: $449
Best Buy: $599
Frys: Initially no sale w\o contract\extension
AT&T: NOBODY in the store will know till tonight when the price tags get downloaded

Don't appreciate the tone. I also don't appreciate the fact that you are pretty much calling me a liar.

399.99 thats the price. I know it. Price tags are not the only way to know the price of a device. Maybe it is the only way YOU know stuff, but it isn't the only way. Tomorrow I will make sure to send you a picture of the 399.99 price and then maybe you can stop talking.

I am assuming you work at radioshack since you apparently know nothing of how at&t stuff works.

399.99. There is no debate. Period.

That tag proves nothing. I just called 3 random stores in CA and they refuted it.

When you get a receipt, scan it and show it, then I'll shuttup

There is also the fact that there are pricing matrices and other things one could look at to figure this out. But I think we will just let Bella read, and reread and try to figure out what he is trying to do aside from look like a wanker.

Yep, and 10 stores have 10 spreadsheets with 8 diff prices.

The spreadsheet isn't per store. There is an internal website that you get all of this stuff from. You are just clueless.

Clearly it's regional, as I just spoke to a store in San Bruno, CA and they state that their internal price sheet shows $499 for no commitment pricing. Guess you're a genius and know better than all stores nationwide.

I just tested this out. I accessed att.com/wireless through a proxy. The proxy is out of the UAE (United Arab Emerites). So att.com thinks I am accessing through Dubai. Pricing on the phones was the same as it is here in the midwest. I do know rate plans can differ but I don't believe phones really do.

They can on contract from what I've seen (Salt Lake City vs. Phila for instance) never seen it happen off price though.

Tell ya what. Call ANY store within 100 miles of San Francisco. They have all said that they will NOT sell a phone without a 2 year contract tomorrow under ANY circumstances.

This is why people loathe AT&T. The whole process is so shady and they just don't "get" it... it's why the industry has such a bad name, especially the AT&T stores here locally.

I questioned the sales rep about this since my Premier support rep said "no prob, you can always buy a phone at full price as a replacement, just go into the store".... and he said "well we're not selling them unless you want to add a line or renew for 2 years"... I asked for the manager and spoke to someone claiming to be the manager, and they said the same thing... the funny part was his logic... "due to huge demand for our 4G service" ... I laughed since AT&T doesn't have a technically accepted 4G implementation, but I told him they had piles of them at Frys and hadn't sold one today even though they were already on-sale there. He said he anticipates lines. LOL... Talked to a friend who works for RadioShack and they have 18 in her store and 1 pre-order. There's no demand. I love AT&T's logic.

So tomorrow, I plan on going into the store, buying one and signing up for service, taking it home for 2 hours, getting as much grease and grime on it as possible, taking it back to THAT manager and returning under buyers' remorse. Fu@$ that sh#t... so glad I've moved 4 out of 5 of my lines AWAY from AT&T. This gives me motivation to kill the last of the lines. :-)

Why even bother? I don't even understand why you are bothering posting all this on here.

Obviously people here are happy with att, and if you want to rant, why not just do it in the att section?

Their customer satisfaction rating is 67% "Satisfied" or better. I'd say 33% of 90 million (30 million people) NOT satisfied is pretty significant... but whatever. When you all go in to try to buy tomorrow and get turned away you'll be ranting too... but for now, you can dream of getting one for $399 tomorrow. LOL

So if it won't be $399, where did this marketing signage confirming the price come from?

Just saw this on AT&T's web site... $399 indeed it is!

HTC Inspire (TM) 4G* Cell Phone - Wireless from AT&T

Now I wonder if RadioShack does price matching...?
