Im in NYC. Not getting relatively high. I havent been able to break 350kbps upload yet for some reason. I have H+ with 4 bars.
My best test so far:
Download-3243 kbps
Upload- 322 kbps
Ping- 224 ms
The download speeds seem to range from 2100 to 3200 kbps. Upload stays in the 300 range. The upload seems way too slow. Any idea why?
Also, I have been getting almost the same results since installing the 1.84.502.11 software update that was pushed to me today. Apparently this update was supposed to enable HSUPA. I wonder whats wrong.

Question from an Inspire 4G new guy/lurker here. I'm in Austin, Texas, where we are supposed to have the HSPA+ "back haul" up and running. Still, I haven't seen any appreciable change in my download speeds from before the "back haul" (~ 2Mb/s or lower on average, most times even lower). Uploads are comparable to what I'm seeing posting on here.
I'm curious what "Mobile Network Type" in "About Phone" should show, now with the back haul in place. Mine shows HSDPA 99% of the time and UMTS the rest of the time. I've never seen HSPA+ or HSDPA+, which the tech support folks at AT&T say it should show. Are they correct? Just curious to see what you all are seeing. Thanks.
Just picked up a used Inspire today when I learned Austin's AT&T is going LTE in November and the Galaxy SII won't have LTE.
Fresh format/restore of the OS.
H & two arrows for signal, with four bars.
Getting anywhere from 1 Mbps to 3.2 Mbps download here on my couch and averaging about 1.1 Mbps upload.
My friend just got the Galaxy S2 with Sprint and lives a couple miles away and this is what he said he got on speedtest.net:
Subsequent testing has resulted in speeds up to 6 Mbps download.
99% of the time I'm getting 1-1.3 Mbps upload. Downloads are all over the board from .3 to 6Mbps. Of the dozen times in different places I've tested, I think about 3 Mbps would be the average.

I think at&t's so called hspa network is FOS! I rarely get passed 4mbps on my phone. I guess we'll never see 14.4 or 21 mbps like our phones are designed to.
this is using 3g. i live in an area where ATT is highly congested and speeds are ridiculously slow (using ATT broadband i generally only get 1.5mbps if i'm lucky). in some areas i can get really high speeds however.
The HTC Inspire 4G was released as the first phone to run on AT&T's 4G HSPA+ network. The device features a large, 4.3-inch display, 8MP camera capable of 720p HD video capture, and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The name of the game here is ... Read More
