Question about froyo on the T-mobile HTC HD2

i can get one for dirt cheap now so i was wondering did 2.2 froyo ever get fully ported to the htc hd2? if so does it run it well? if anyone can point me where to get the newest version etc... id greatly appreciate it

I've been using Froyo 2.2 for around a week using an SD card build from Xda.

Everything's working so far apart from the slightly extra battery drain.

Check on xda. There's ton of stuff on there to get you started.

You can get many version of Froyo and also Gingerbread. I ran several Stock Froyo builds with no issues and also Desire (Sense) builds as well. I am currently running CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread) with no issues on the HD2.

Personally, I go with NAND builds, but try some others out if you want.

Best bet, CraigsList or eBay or other way.

Get one locally if you can, I see them on CL in my area for $200 or less.

SD method will preserve any warranty you have, but I've gone NAND/magldr about 4 months ago and have been happy ever since. Stable roms and FAQS for newbies can be found at forum.xda-developers.com

could you point me in the right direction for the Gingerbread Rom you are using and also have you used Task 29 and were there any issues with it

I'm actually not running Gingerbread on the HD2 anymore. Too many weird issues (especially when it comes to GPS (which I use a LOT)).

I am using the MyTouch 4G port and it works really well. Not gingerbread, but at least it works!
