Random reboots while on battery, but no reboots on USB charger?
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a used HTC Magic (originally locked to Rogers) with CM-6-FroyoRedux-v1.7 installed. It was a fresh install from the individual that I purchased the phone from. I haven't yet delved into all the specifics and procedures for rooting and installing Cyanogen/Froyo myself, but was hoping to get some insight prior to diving into all the mod instructions.
My phone seems to reboot randomly - sometimes while operating the phone, and other times while it's just idling on the table. I would say the frequency is roughly once every 2 hours. However, when it's plugged into the USB charger, I don't ever recall it rebooting or suffering any stability issues. Is this a well-diagnosed issue having to do with the battery? Or perhaps just coincidental?
I'll try to spit out as much information on the phone/mod that I can:
HTC Magic 32A
Baseband version: 65.52S.20.18H_3.22.20.17
Kernel version: 2.6.34.4-cyanogenmod, dan-linux@ubuntu #1
Mod version: CM-6-FroyoRedux-v1.7
Build number: FRF91
Any insight or advice is very much appreciated.
