Default MS Exchange sync. problems – self-signed root certificate!!

Hey there,

I just got my new HTC Magic ”Maybe a very cool phone!!”

I have a serious problem that I hope someone can help me with or maybe lead me in some direction.
I want to sync with my companies Exchange server (exchange 2007) but every time I try I get this error message: “Error: failed to create account. Please try again later” any ideas?
I have been searching the web for a week now – but no luck.
Maybe the problem is related to a certificate problem since we are using a self-signed root certificate and I am not able to import it (like on a Iphone or MS WinMoblie)
Maybe someone knows how to import a root-certificate? (second question)
I hope someone can help me, without exchange sync. – The phone is useless for me L

Thanks in advance

P.S. I have tried touchdown, but I will like to Use the build in sync in HTC magic.

you'll have to wait until you IT department creates such a certificate for android. ask them whether they are already working on it. the company i work for was not happy about the security with the exchange software in the Canadian rogers android devices and therefore haven't created a certificate for it yet.

Thanks for your answer, but we have chosen to use our own certificate (self-signed), and I think that is the problem and that is also why I am asking for help as regards how to import root-certificate on Android and on HTC magic.

Thx :-)
