Default Unable to reply to a reply

Unless it is just my settings, when I text I can send a text and receive a quick reply and can reply back and forth.

However, if I back out of messaging (go to main screen to any other app) the reply that I receive has lost the area code prefix and my replies will not be delivered. All my contacts have been entered with the 10 digit number but like I said, if I leave the messaging session after my first send, the contact number is truncated to 7 digits.

Anyone else find this or have a fix?

Just a suggestion ... you might also let people know if you are using the default/stock messaging or using a third party app?

Try this ... when you say "you back out of messaging" I am thinking of two ways ... One is my hitting the BACK key the other is the HOME key ...

Try both methods and see if you get different results ...

I am having a similar issue but only for one contact? I can only seem to reply if I compose a new message and then send. I tried to just hit back, home and even reset the phone and still only able to reply by composing a new message. Any ideas would be great.

I am having the same problem, with just one of my contacts as well. I've deleted the contact entirely and re-entered the info. The problem still persists. It is driving me crazy!

Forgot to mention: I have the Samsung Moment, so maybe it's Sprint issue.
