Surprised Merge or Desire

i am trying to decide between the Merge and the Desire. I am concerned about the touch screen. I have had a bb and I am used to having a keyboard. I tried using the touch screen on my husband's mesmerize and had a terrible time with the touch screen using my fingernails, which are not very long. That is one of the biggest reasons that I was leaning towards the Merge because of the keyboard being available for typing messages and texts. I use USCellular for a carrier. I appreciate any advice that anyone has to give. If someone has a suggestion about the merge or even a different phone I would appreciate that also.

I think you've answered your own question... if you feel like you need a physical keyboard, go for the Merge. I have one and I love it. It's basically the same phone as the Desire, but with the added keyboard. It's MUCH heavier because of this, but if that doesn't bother you, I'd go with the Merge.
