Surprised Picked up a pair of HTC Merge phones.

I'm surprised a lot of apps still work with old 2.2... It's a shame VZW didn't do an update... Well now I have one to use, and one to test on...

You could try rooting yor spare device and upgrading it to newer firmware.

Yeah, that was my intention... But,not a lot to work with out there... Didnt realize how few of these there were and even fewer on VZW...

Ive never had that device so i wouldnt no about dev support but im sure there are a few custom roms out there for you.

There are a VERY limited amount of roms for this device. Right now, a developer is releasing some goodies for us .. cm7 is already out. So go check it out at :
