Default Unable to mount phone as a disk drive on computer

Some reason I can no longer mount my phone on laptop I can only charge it now. Used to be able to this is there any reason why this would happen? I have updated drivers (it used to work fine before) now my computer will not let me transfer pictures and music on my phone via USB only let me charge it. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Can you enable it by going into settings, selecting "Connect to PC" and changing the default connection type?

When you have it plugged in to the computer and you pull down the notification menu, does it say anything under the "Ongoing" header?

What shows when you select disk drive? Maybe selecting a different option and switching back?

Also if it was working before, try disabling USB debugging and see if that makes a difference for you. It's on for me and I can mount it as disk drive, but maybe that is acting wonky for you.

I tried to use the sync manager instead still no luck a box comes saying which file you wish to view. Then it just disconnects and the debugger come on regardless if i switch it off.

Did you install anything new when this started to happen.

USB debugging shouldn't come on if you don't have it enables in the developer options. So something weird is going on with your phone.

You haven't rooted it or flashed any ROMs correct?

If that's the case, you could try a factory reset and see if that helps (you will lose any changes you made to it, but it might get things sorted). Apart from that you could try seeing about calling customer service or seeing about a replacement.

Good call, I would try that and see if it helps. If you were to call customer service that would be the first thing that they would tell you to try. Back up what you can .

Still the same thing can't even use the snyc the phone always disconnects. I hear the sound the computer makes when a USB is plugged in but some reason my phone or the computer still thinks it not mounted. This is so annoying been trying some many ways that apparently fix it still no luck. Like i said before it used to work so i don't know what going on with the phone.

The manager gives me this message: unable to open htc sync manager on your computer. make sure the application is install and open. Also i usually get a pop up where i can see all my phones folders to make transfers this no longer shows up either.
