Default Stressed!!! Any help muchly appreciated

Hi all!!! I got a HTC One S about 2 months ago through Virgin Mobile. I loved everything about this phone, everything was working great until I moved and where I'm staying and working, the reception isnt that great. I had about 2 bars on average and was getting frustrated. I knew this ahead of time because a friend told me that Virgin coverage isnt that great so I had my phone unlocked just in case. Anyways about 2 weeks ago i was going to make a call and was surprised I got no service!!!!!! For 2 weeks I got average 2 bars but now nothing! I called Virgin and they said everything was ative. Its weird because when I'm in this certain location I do get service and Ill start to get all my emails and text at once but once I leave I dont. So after a couple of days without service I tried Rogers, since they have a bigger network I figure I'm bound to get reception. But what do u know, nothing. I knew it had to be something wrong with the phone BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT!!! I tried my microsim in my buddy iphone 4s and he gets 4 bars. Im so frustrated!!! I dont want to hate this phone but its driving me crazy, and i dont want to be paying a $80 bill without being able to use my phone.

I contacted HTC and they told me all these steps like turning the phone off, putting it into airplane mode, not putting a case on it, not having a task manager which i did but now uninstalled. but nothing, so I told them that it wasnt like the phone is completely dead but like i said it depends where I am, and its not the sim card or coverage because my friend has 4 bars when I tried it with his phone. So my question is, does anybody know anything or has this happen to them. Could be the attenna. Or could it be the way my phone was unlocked. I doubted that cuz the phone was in use for about a month and a half. If there is something wrong like an attenna failure Im scared cuz my warranty would be void. Can anybody tell me what I can check or do, if i may have pressed something
