Default The sound keeps going dead unless through earphones

Any thoughts on why this might be?

The speaker works fine during calls so I really think it's a software issue. It sometimes works for a bit and then stops until restart. Through earphones it's perfect, always.

Any thoughts?

Not really sure what's up with the HTC One s, sometimes whenever i switch to speaker they can't hear me. Usually a restart works, other times it doesn't. I had a can of compressed air so i thought i'd clean out the speaker, earpiece, etc. That seemed to fix my problem. Not sure if it'll work for you but it's worth a shot.
