Default Google Play Music dissapears after entering usb mode

Hello everybody!

I just tried adding two songs onto my phone, and noticed that as I added these two songs, the 10 or so songs I had added a couple days back disappeared. I tried adding the 10 songs, and the 2 songs disappeared. Any songs added before I added either of the 12 songs stayed with no problems. I did a little experimenting, and found out they delete whenever I enter usb mode I really don't know what to do, and would really appreciate any help.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I just got a new laptop which runs Windows 8, and this hadn't happened on my previous laptop which had Windows 7. All the songs that do stay were added from the old laptop.

Edit: Just tried adding it and now it's not adding on play music, but is adding on the "music" app.
