Default 4.1 update problems

Hello I have just joined the forum as I have been having some problems with my HTC one S 16gb on Vodafone UK. The problems are relating to the new 4.1 update I installed last week.
Prior to the update I enjoyed using my phone and since the update Its like I now have a rubbish phone. I appreciate that some of the problems may be fixable by me changing some settings but I had the phone ruining pretty standard before.

The faults That have arisen are listed below

Phone related.
The drop down from the home screen which is like pulling down a roller curtain either refuses to come down , gets stuck or pops back up itself taking several attempts if it even works at all
It says WIFI is on but has no signal strength indication or connection.
Constantly drops WiFi connection.
Whilst in messages I cant send to multiple contacts from a list , when you select done it should then allow you to insert txt but it just goes back to the previous screen.

Internet faults .
In most apps the back button at the bottom of the screen takes you right out to the home screen (it would do this before but it would let you go back to where you started browsing first)
Google search doesn't remember your search results when you go back .
Loads pages really slowly.
The keyboard wont pop up on some pages when having to input txt even when on the previous page in the same website it worked fine.

If I come across any more Things ill list them to this post so Ill be grateful if any one could help getting my phone back to the great phone it was .

I'm certainly no expert, but it sounds like you should first call your provider and see if they are also reporting the same thing. If (and when) that does not get you far, you could downgrade your OS (walkthroughs in this thread), or root it and flash a new ROM, to your liking.

Good luck.
